went back to the track. vid plus slip inside

well, today was sorta fun. My first time not breaking an exle in my last 3 trips to the 1/4. i only made 3 runs and the first 2 were practice with me shutting down, more or less getting used to the track since its been a while.

3rd run was my final run since after i had completed it i was asked nicely to leave and not come back till i have a cage. I know i coulda knocked it down some if given a chance, but oh well. Now i need to try to fund a cage if i wanna go back to the local 1/4mi.

well, here is the slip, im car 77 in the right lane and my buddies built ss in the left. Im still trying to figure out the whole 330ft number. apparently i hit warp speed and just turned back time.:

and here is the real bad video. Sorry guys. if i owned a nice camera my bmw would probably be slower.

as you can see and here i like to bounce limiter in almost every gear lol which is hurting me alot since my dyno drops dramatically at 6500rpm and my limiter is just over 7000rpm.

so i needed to launch a little higher/harder and try to shift at 6500 to stay in my power band. since i was hitting limiter i was obviously hurting my et.

maybe i will try to sneak in again but unlikely. I need to get a cage.

yea, i just ordered my new tires yesterday and i decided to go get a baseline tonight and now i need to get a cage to try out my new tires.

i realy wanted to get kicked out with at least a 10sec slip.lol 11.4 just doesnt seem worth it. i shoulda just pulled up like the previous 2 runs.

Yeah, only got one pass in before the Shelby CSX blew oil all over the track and there was a 45 minute delay. I had somewhere to be later so I left.

    Ended up with a 13.92 @ 103 with a shotty 2.2 60' and 2 not so great shifts

Nice time! Just for fun, I plugged in the ET/Trap and estimated weight (3200lbs?) into a couple of horsepower calculators and damn I'm impressed. The averaged out to just about exactly what you said ~470whp! Glad to see the tubular manifold is helping out and your time invested is paying off!

Psh, Scott and you were both there and Mark called me to come down.... I guess I should have. I debated if I should just roll out with some e30 burnouts for a good time

Nice trap speed man, cant wait to get some runs in!

Great times! What did you have for an interior, and how much do you weight personally?

The Roll bar is big decision, but, the quest for 10's is all consuming

I dont have any kinda weight savings i dont think other then removing a/c to make room for turbo. its a 97 328is with cold climate package. heated leather seats and stuff.lol I weigh in around 185 and i have no clue what my car weighs. maybe you can shed some light?

i was realy pissed i got kicked for a lousy 11.4 i have friends in camaros and transams that run times like that all the time and never get kicked, however there traps arent anywhere near 130mph. so i dont know. if i was gunna get kicked i was hoping it would be after i slipped in a 10sec run.lol

You had a 100% stock interior, no seats taken out? If so, you better get back to the dyno cause your flyin.....

I would think the mph is inflated due to wheelspin or you are making MUCH more power than you think.

    LOL WUT

How would it be inflated by wheelspin when its based on a TIMING device? His wheels could be spinning 400 mph worth of rotation, but his CAR was moving 129 mph

I think he's making 475 rwhp and he's driving well.

John did your buddy wait up thinking he was going to run you down?

100% stock interior with system in trunk. only thing missing is a/c compressor. I dyno'd 473whp and 430wtq on 16psi a couple weeks ago. I wanted to get a baseling before i turned it up. Im gunna try for mid-high 500's.

i wasnt spinnin too bad. mph isnt inflated. if you look at kennys ET list my et is right where it should be for my time.

naw him, my buddy bill with his civic and myself all drove up there to get some baseline numbers. his motor is built for nitrous but he was runnin NA for a baseline. Im runnin low boost for my baseline. and my buddys civic was spinnin up the track with 25in slicks.lol

I think the low e/t and high trap is because of the 3.91 rear. I also believe if i had another shot i coulda improved greatly on my et and 60ft. Oh well, theres always next time.
