How to know its a Getrag S6S 420G
Hi
I have a BMW e34 540i auto transmission and I want to swap it to manual transmission I know I need a Getrag S6S 420G gearbox, however I visited many bmw used parts stores and I checked the gearboxes I couldn't find any label or writing on the gearbox with "Getrag S6S 420G" instead there are plenty of number on the gearbox like 1222 452 0 11 225, could any one help me how to make sure that a given gearbox is 6 speed Getrag S6S 420G or is there any place on the gearbox that is written Getrag S6S 420G. Thanx in advance
