They are projectors. Xenons are HID. You mean you want to change the color of them? If so, you can just get the bulbs for it.

EDIT: according to Sylvania's site. Your H7 bulbs are actually halogen, D2S bulbs would be the HID bulbs. Being you have projectors you should be fine to get HID in there without too much trouble with installation or cops pulling you over for HID in a halogen housing. For that, you would need an entire HID kit for the H7s. Check out Bavtoys or DDM Tuning. They both have good HID kits for reasonable prices.

It's easy to tell if a car has HID's or not. It's almost night and day. I really can't tell from the picture but I don't see a color spectrum. They look like halogens to me. Go behind your headlights where your driving lights are and if there is a RED connector you have HID's.

eh. They probably wouldn't pull you over unless you put some ridiculous, electric blue-glowing bulbs in there...and cops' attention really isn't the case anyway. Your halogen projectors (h7) aren't engineered--optically--to house HIDs. Yes, you can physically fit a "kit" and run a "kit," but it won't perform like OEM e39 HID projectors designed to house HID capsules.

...but back to the issue. Cops won't be able to tell the difference if you run OEM color temp. (4100k) or something close to it.

Since you have h7 projectors, you'll need an h7 HID kit.

A D2S kit will work if you buy a D2S to h7 adapter ring; you can use OEM parts with this method, but the above route would be considered easier and more plug&play.

Yes, as long as you go with the D2S bulb & get a H7 to D2S adaptor. This will be your best bet. D2S bulbs are better than any rebased bulb.

...and if you're going the D2S way, use OEM capsules (Philips, Osram, GE) and ballasts (Hella, Denso)...not an aftermarket D2S kit. I think you can find the D2S>H7 adapters on www.hidplanet.com ...they used to sell them.

That is a great forum if you want to get ideas & help on HIDs. Although I dont know if their store is still selling items like they use too. If you cant findthe adaptors there, then try here:

There are HID kits for every type of bulb made to date, from 9005 thrugh H11.

If your car has a n HID factory opition, then all you need to do is get the low beam wires & use those to power your ballasts.

You can get the HID kit from bavtoys, or source the bulbs & ballasts yourself
