Carsoft Box Arrived Today

OK guys here is what was in the box.
I am planning to begin the install tonight.
I see a lot of cables but I am not seeing the one that works for an X3?
Maybe the OBDII is located another place but anyway guys here is the picture of what came.

Tom:
Can you tell me if this cable set works for an X3?
Thanks

What is everyone going with? I dont have this product already so i want the $335 package right?

This program can reset all CEL lights and also reset live data such a Long/Short Term Fuel trims correct? Does it have a datalogging function also? I'm looking on their website now for more info, just wondering though. Thanks.

Reads and resets error codes in DME, EGS, SRS, ZKE modules etc., displays live engine data on Post 1996 cars, can reset fuel adaptation values, service and inspection intervals, test central locking, power windows and interior lighting controls and functions but does not have coding, programming or data logging functionality - you have email. Basically for $335 you get the software, dongle and everything you need to connect your car to your laptop.

fun2drive,
The OBDII cable is the cable in the upper left-hand corner of your photo.

Carsoft West will accept member orders for the Group Buy until midnight tonight but will extend the offer through Saturday if you post a pic of yourself, on this thread, in a Halloween costume and include a creative excuse for missing the deadline. Send an email to sales@carsoftwest.com with your forum name so I can verify your Halloween post and accept your order.

Thank you David Mc and all participants!

Sorry, if this has already been answered. I'm just getting in.

Is the SW Vista compatible?

Can somebody PM me the secret code, please?

Thanks

I got mine today via UPS.

Apparently the disc is the 8.0 software. I was reading that we have to download an update to get to 8.2. Is there a link to this download, or where can I find it? Thanks.

Reach,
Unless I accidently gave you an old disc, the disc you have should be v8.2. If your disc is not 8.2 contact me at sales@carsoftwest.com and I will provide the link to the 8.2 upgrade and an apology.

External CD plastic box says 8.0 but software is 8.2.

Hey how do I reset the inspec and oil change?
I have not found that yet. I did look over the manual but did not see that.

Turns out I was wrong. The disc inside was indeed 8.2, as I figured out when I actually installed it. The image on the disc cover is a screenshot indicating version 8.0, which led me astray. I'm going to go try it now.

fun2drive, after you choose the model, choose "System Diagnostic Tests" then "Information and Communication" (IC) - the Service reset is there.

Ah thanks. I helped a friend check his E46 and stumbled around never having used this before but it all worked out to ID the codes and clear them.
Thanks for the help

I have received my kit but I am having trouble getting it to run on Vista. Created the administrative account as directed and it seemed to install OK. Drivers for dongles loaded and the dongle was recognized successfully. It then said to restart the program, when I did the only thing that appeared was the message to insert the dongle and the dongle is recognized and the same thing happens over and over.

I am going to try removing all and starting over. Any help would be appreciated.

After first install, reboot.

I'm not sure if its necessary, but this might help as well: on the shortcut to the application, right click -> properties -> (shortcut tab) advanced -> check the box for 'run as administrator'

If that doesn't work, install windows 7 or XP

Has anyone gotten this software to run on VISTA? If you have would you mind sharing how you installed the software? I must be missing something.

I have done a full system recovery on my laptop, reinstalled the CarSoft software as the administrator. I still have the same problem, the drivers for dongles loaded and the dongle was recognized successfully. It then said to restart the program, when I did the only thing that appeared was the message to insert the dongle and the dongle is recognized and the same thing happens over and over.
