The amount of shifter play makes it difficult to get off quick shifts.
I bought a set of Rogue Engineering tranny mounts so I'll try and get them in this weekend. If I do, I'll try and make some passes
My current best in the 1/8th is 8.88 or 8.89. I'd have to dig through all my slips to verify, but it was definetly an 8.8X.
This is not an 1/8th mile car.
I am just curious to see your mph. Not being able to shift quick will certainly hurt you though so get that stuff done! I actually need to do my tranny mounts and all my shift bushings as well, but that will be a little winter project.

Do you remember what your mph was when you last ran the 1/8th?

Yes. Between 80-81mph. Like I said, this is not a 1/8th mile car. The 2.81 open does this car no justice. It gains big on the back 1/8th, but its performance is pretty limited with that big rear end. Relatively speaking for a 3775lb car with not a lot of power it is a monster on the highway.

Gains of ~25MPH on the back 1/8th, which is not bad for a land yacht of a 5-series with not a lot of power.

I will be interested to see those gains proven. I hope you can prove them, but that is A LOT of mph with a car making your HP.

My father-in-laws 1969 F-Bird that runs 10.93@121mph does 96mph in the 1/8th. That is a gain of 25mph after the 1/8th and that is from a high 10 second car. It would be amazing if your car can do that, but I have to see that to believe it. Not saying it didn't happen just saying what I know.

Yeah no problem.
Things to consider with your father in law's car would be
Is it an auto?
How loose or tight is the converter?
What about gearing?
Where in the power band is the car making most of its power/
The car may be set up to ET rather than MPH, in which case if its set for ET, it likely has an aggressive rear end ratio.
These things would certainly shed some light.

Well his car makes 473rwhp/490rwtq. Extremely flat tq curve.
Converter is a 4000 stall
Transmission is a T400 and gears are 3.73 posi.
I believe the car makes peak tq at 4000rpms and makes peak HP at 6000rpms but I would be wrong.

I have a dyno saved to my computer otherwise I would post it.

Don't mess with him man. You don't know who you're messing with. Right now, he's too busy busy with his "75K car" and his "brimbo" brakes, to take pictures of his Range Rover and 300C. Oh, and pictures of his "old supercharger" that he "sold," as well.

But that's what happens when the value of an expensive sports car drops below $10k, you get kids buying it who can't afford to take care of it.

I gave you exactly a week. You couldn't even take a picture of someone else's supercharger, that you can then claim that you "sold." Weak.

Now, what about your "other cars?"

Found this in the drag racing forum:

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...68&postcount=4

Those trap speeds aren't too far off what Forcefed7 is claiming and neither are the time.

You needed a week off, It get's quite tiring quoting an "uppity e-balla" whatever that is...maybe it's in your web dictionary mate. I told you already, I don't have the desire to go gathering some pics for you, your highness. Go supercharge your "Durango" is it? I have it right now eh, then we can have a proper race eh. My RR sport vs your super Durango. Lol! I know you, you spent a week talking your garbage in the "nissan" forum since you don't own a bmw...and now your back here. Just for the record............Carnutt DOES NOT OWN A BMW!! I'll tell you what, how 'bout you go gather some pics of your prior BMWS so I can understand why again it is that you are even here. I guess when you drive a nissan you don't really have much to add to a BMW forum except my old posts. What's the problem with you anyway, you seem to have a sore spot for 540s....did you get your ass whipped by one in your maxipad..is that it? stop being a hater, atleast when your amongst bmw enthusiasts.

So.

You're admitting that you're a lying, posing sack of shit, that has pictures of your "75K car" all over bf.c, yet cannot be "bothered" to take pictures of your "other" imaginary cars, since it's too tough to go trolling around your neighborhood, looking for cars close enough to what you wished you had.

You also pretty much admitted that you're an insecure jackass, who somehow holds people's (and therefore your own) value with what they appear to have materially.

No, that's cars you wish you had, and name calling will get you nowhere. It just further proves to everyone that you're a bitter nissan driving 540 hater, that thinks a ford work truck is something to brag about. Me lad I'm not insecure, I drive a 7, my wife a saab vert and my two other cars are driveway and street. But the 7 is the reason I'm on this forum (yeah the one that's posted all over the forum as you claim eh) should I not post the only BMW I'm claiming? HA HA, but why are you here?

OLD GUYS (me included), C'mon! Who cares if Carrrrnuttt doesn't have a BMW and what JBimflyer used to own?

Yes, Carrrnuttt seems sided against the e36 M3, but he does occasionally post technical data and I personally like to see that. JBimflyer may be fibbin' what he owned/mods, maybe not. ForceFed may be omitting some details. Anyway guys, this isn't to be win/loss outcome.

Let's all be WINNERS, and not have to read it again in a future kill story.

Exactly... I've never owned a BMW... I bet a number of people want me banned based on that fact alone.
