Question Trans and diff oil recommendation!

Hey i have a 1998 m3 and need some help finding out what tranny oil would be best for a car that get's ran hard all the time! no mods to the gears or anything so they are 100% stock along with the diff! no sure on what oil to use in the diff, its lsd and not sure if i should use one with an additive or not! and what weights i should use in both for a car that gets abused every weekend! any suggestions would be much help!!!! car is turbo so i would like something that would hold up and do a good job!
thanks
David

Personally, I use Royal Purple Synchromax (sp?) for the tranny and Amsoil 75w140 for the diff. Been running them for a year with no problems but I might try Redline fluid in the transmission next.

You'll probably get as many opinions as there are people.

I have used Royal Purple Synchromax for my transmission and Royal Purple 75W-90 gear oil for my diff. The racing folks often use 75W-140 or 85W-140.

My only comment is that the Synchromax was great in the warmer months, but now in the colder months, it definitely feels thicker than the OE fluid when the car is not warmed up yet. Once it's warmed up, it feels great, though. Of course, you're in Hawaii... I don't think that'll be an issue.

Check the label on the trans for ATF or MTL FIRST. ATF calls for Dexron II or II, RP Synchromax or Redline DT4. MTL uses a 75w-80, Synchromax will work and Petosin makes it too, Pelican parts sell Petosin. I personally have Trans Syn, by Castrol, in my trans and Mobil1 75w-90 in my diff.
