Looks like I'll be the 2nd in TN to get started on this.

Still looking for a good donor car, have everything else. Do you know of anything around in your part of TN?

Actually, I'm looking for black or silver.

I don't know of any but if I find any I'll let you know. I'm trying to get this done in the next month or so. You still might beat me.

Well I picked up a 5.0 out of a towncar for $150 bucks. The intake is on the drivers side but I suppose for as cheap as I got it I can convert everything.

I'm really looking into a 347 stroker. I'll get some new pics up.

If you don't mind, snap me a nice up close detailed picture of the entire fuel rail. Or basically the top of the engine with the upper intake off (if you plan on taking it off). I want to see where exactly the feed and return attachments to the fuel rail are located on the reversed intake 5.0's.

I'm not the keenest on running fuel lines all over the car, which is one thing I don't like about this swap with the standard Mustang fuel rail. I was hoping the towncar/crownvic/etc.. fuel rails would have the inlet and outlets pointed more towards the drivers side of the car for better attachment of the fuel lines.

Thanks.

Will do. Turns out I won't be using this motor. I didn't know that they came detuned to 150 hp. I'll snap those pics tomorrow for you, I already have the upper intake off.

by detuning they probably just changed the cam specs, and if you want 300 hp, your gonna probably want to change the cam out for something better any way. besides the reverse manifold would be good for a turbo set up if thats a road you'd like to walk down someday.

On that motor, the intake is more restrictive, and it is probably not roller cammed.

If you are interested in selling those low-po exhaust manifolds from that motor, let me know. I need them for my jeep.

In regards to the fuel rail issue- the mustangs had the connections at the front pass side of the motor. The trucks and explorers had the connections at the back of the motor and they are angled towards the driver's side. I used the truck rail on my 351w in my jeep because I didn't want fuel lines running all over the place.

Thanks, I appreciate it. The drawings in the chilton's manuals are not always the greatest reference to go off of, I like to see things.

That's very good to know, thanks for the information. I'll add it to the list of stuff to remember that I've been keeping for this project.

I'll have a camera tomorrow, will snap a few for you. My cell phone pics don't show up.

Cleaned on the engine bay some today

Looks like a 4x4 truck with the motor out. :P
