Guys, friday night I messed up bad. I rolled my baby 7-10 times and then she caught fire. Somehow I'm still alive. I'll post the whole story tomorrow, but for now I just wanted to get some pics up.
Below is a shot of my car before, the link is to a page that my brother put pictures on. Please do not e-mail him as he is only my source for pictures. Like I said, more info tomorrow.

Nothing else matters.

My LORD! This is the second story of rolling, flaming M3s I've read in the past couple days. What in the hell are you people doing out there?!
In all seriousness though, it's good that you walked away from it. Hopefully you'll be able to replace your baby soon.
Just be glad nobody got seriously injured...
Material stuff can be replaced... Arms, legs, and heads are harder to come by.
How the hell did you come out of that alive. You were lucky. The car you can replace.Keep the pictures.I had the same thing happen about 30 years ago.We rolled nose to tail about 4 times.I still have the pictures, scary.

holy crap... pains me to see the car, but the important thing is that YOU'RE OKAY. cars can be replaced.
Okay. I am going to offer something else other than "Poor Car, Good Thing Your Okay." Unless you are very young (<18) that was rediculous, ESPECIALLY if you happened to read the story of the red E46 that took a turn at 100MPH, flipped, burned, and killed one person. You would have had to have been doing something INCREDIBLY stupid to get into a 7-10 roll on the street. I cannot think of one instance in all of the stupid things that I have done that would cause my car to flip 7-10 times AND burn. Coming from being a Mustang owner, I found BMW people to be MUCH more civilized, and a better caliber of driver. But rolling that many times is unbelievable. And with that said, I am glad you are well, and I certainly feel bad that your car had to come to that horrible demise. Now you might have a perfectly good excuse to prove me wrong (cut off, thing in road, aliens landing, etc...), so all that I have said is under the assumption that you did something blatanly stupid.
Wow, that's some damage. Glad to hear that you made it through that wreck.
Didn't you have a bunch of aftermarket electronics in your car, like a full computer and such?

how the hell did you get out of that? & you're not in the hospital either huh? you've been blessed to make it through.
yikes. you turned it into an M coupe
So as more M3's are totaled, does that slowly increase the value of every other remaining M3 on the road since they are becoming more rare? Sorry, just a random question.
Glad you are OK, and get back on here and tell us what happened already!!!
Amazing to look at that wreck and consider that you escaped, thank God, alive. Testimony to the bulid quality of M cars....

Wow, you are lucky to be alive. Had it been other vehicle (non-BMW), you might not survive. One less Avus Blue on the street

damn dude - there is no way in heck that you were just driving along at the posted speed limit and did that amount of damage from having a "normal" accident.... You stated "I messed up bad", so from that statement alone, this was no normal accident, not for that car to end up in a ball PLUS gutted by fire....
talk about a shortened wheel base...
You are really lucky... and lucky enough that you did not have to be extracted by the jaws of life OR being burnt alive in the carnage.
so, if YOU are ok - was ANYONE ELSE injured or killed?
How fast were you traveling and what caused the car to flip 7-10 times?
here's to speedy recovery, hopefully there are no Police charges or any other negative impacts coming out of this accident.
good luck.

Thanks for all the positive words guys. I am the luckiest s.o.b. I know. I was the only one in the car and no one else was around to get hurt.
And for those of you that said I must have been doing something stupid, yes, I was. I don't remember why or how fast I was going but the police estimate 100ish. I definantly learned my lesson and am using this to help other people slow down before something like this happens again.
Well, I was on my way back from the local waffle house at about 11:30pm and came up on Goldmine Rd. (anyone in the area should recognize this road as that long straightaway). I was tailing a friend who, once we got on the straightaway, hit his brakes and waved me around. I know I flew around him and laid into it, but I don't know how long I got on her or how fast I went etc.
Anyway, at the end of this straightaway is a drop into a slight turn. I remember slowing down when I saw the drop, but right when I came to the other side (I don't know if I jerked the wheel, etc.) the back end slid out to the left. I almost made my way into the ditch on the right side, but got her back for a split second only to have the back swing out the opposite direction. This time she was gone; no amount of correction would bring her back. All 4 tires were screaming as I shot into a ditch. I remember seeing airbags deploy and thinking "that wasnt all bad." It was then that I realized that the car wasnt on the ground anymore.
I saw the ground hit the roof of the car and the windsheild bust, but this is where we hit a black hole in my memory. My next recolection was standing beside a small home watching my car burn.
Sometime in between, I rolled 98 yards and landed 10 ft from someones front door, got out of the car, went to the door of the elderly couple's house, called my parents, etc. I'm not sure, but it seems like I remember sitting in the driver's seat and seeing a nice size fire coming from the engine in front of me.
Anyway, I walked around in circles for about 15 minutes watching my car burn. I couldnt remember if there was anyone else in the car or where I was coming from or what happened etc. The paramedics got there and loaded me in the ambulance and then my lung collapsed. The driver took her time going to the hospital, no siren, while I was in the back fighting for conciousness. I just got home from the hospital last night, lung still somewhat collapsed.
Oh yeah, police report was that I was doing 100 or more mph. Slid 215 ft, rolled 295 ft. In November I'm probably going to lose my license. They obviously think that losing my one true love and almost dieing isnt enough to teach me a lesson.
Well that's my story and I probably left some things out. Like that black hole in my memory. Anyway, feel free to post your questions and I'll try to answer them as best I can. I encourage you to use this along with the pictures to help anyone you know slow down and be more careful. Thanks for looking.
Nate
"They obviously think that losing my one true love and almost dieing isnt enough to teach me a lesson."
uh..if they just took people's word that they've learned their lesson we wouldn't need a criminal justice system at all.
