you could get the convertible top kit from your BMW dealer, i have it. It has a couple of things in it, such as tree sap remover, top cleaner, water proofer for convertible top, interior spray, and something else that i cant remember. It comes with a brush and costs about 60 bucks. Its really nice, my top is so clean, and its awsome when it rains because my top beads the rain off!

Purchase the RaggTopp from our sponsor and get 10% off.

I love reconditioning convertible tops and showing clients how easy it is for them to maintain their baby if they want.

UV protection evaporates in about three months and it is less expensive to re-apply protection when you can than total neglect and the cost of a new top is pricey.

Any type of [tunnel wash] has the possibility/probability of rupturing the seals and creating a leak. Brushless only uses high pressure jets which I believe increases the chances for leaks.
The following is the process I use and encourage my clients to use if they wish to do it themselves.
Process for your convertible top;

Wash with a car shampoo
I use an extremely soft brush for the pores and seams
Rinse top very well

Dry with Absorber or WW towels
Bonus if you have an air compressor - blow the water out of the seams

Inspect the top and generally I have to use my shop vac to suck up
the clingy debris from air-borne contaminants, lint…..

I use RaggTopp – follow directions

TIP - Spray onto a MF towel and wipe in, use overlapping motions
Easy to do, dramatic visual difference, plus you have protection

I have clients that use 303 and are satisfied with the end result. So the choice of products is up to you.
