| 7 Series (E23, E32, E38, E65, E66) The flagship BMW 7 Series has sparked the imagination with idea that luxury does not have to come at the sacrifice of performance since its birth in 1977. Well appointed with thick leather, wood trim, and more gadgets than Bond could shake a stick at, the 7 Series is the epitome of a luxury cruiser, and a fast, well handling one at that. |

DFW7 had its meet today after over 1 year of hiatus. We had twenty 7 Series that showed up. Despite the triple digit heat, we stayed outdoors and talked for a good while before moving to the indoor scene. I like to thank Brett, Byron, Carlton, Chris, Dan, Darnell, Dave, David, Doug, Eddie, Jeff, John, Maje, Mike, Noah, Robert, Terry, Tim, Zeph and last but not least myself :-) for showing up today. Okay, that was the Oscars “thank you” speech. Just thought it was interesting that of the twenty, not one shared an identical first name.
As always, we talked cars, exchanged info and learned from each other, all the while having a good time. The members that showed up today wereb quite a special bunch of E38 owners. Next up on DFW7’s calendar is a Bluetooth Forum tentatively set for 9/2/06, Saturday, hosted by Martin of BimmerNav. Meet location and time will be announced soon. Most that showed up today keep an active watch on the forums but do not post often. If you are in North Texas area and have been lurking around, you can join DFW7 here http://www.dfw7.com/home.cfm. Special thanks to Darnell for giving away a trunk lip spoiler. Euro Connection for donating 5 Oil & Filter Change, which I forgot to hand out... To Byron for the disk, to Doug for explaining the Basslink install, Jeff or explaing different versions of Nav operating systems and everyone else for sharing your knowledge today. Well, maybe I'll make the next one. We just purchased a "MINT" '00 black on black with 60k on it with all options including the Sport package. ITS JUST GORGEOUS!! I'm a single turbo Mustang owner and a Supercharged C5 owner and right now I'm looking at supercharging our 740i. Hopefully I can pick some brains here on this board to help out with tuning issues.

There will be a Bluetooth seminar for DFW7 members on 9/2, 10:00 AM. Martin of www.bimmernav.com will be performing installation on a '01 740iL. I will post details at separate thread later.
