Moon Bav Auto Show Pictures NO 56K Dial Up!!

As usual the Bav Auto Show and Shine was simply awesome. Great weather,
    hot chicks, and terrific cars.

My 323i was not there but, the B6 Alpina, and BMW Club Racer's car was there as well as Manny's widebody e21, and a bunch of other cars.
Everything from 600 plus HP 6 series turbo, Alpina 5 er, M5s, Turboed 540s, Supercharged e46 m3s and 2002s with s14 engines where there.

I hung out with the guys from the site and it was fun.I had my e21 legion shirt on. Here are a few sample pictures. We were going to get a group picture of all e21s but next year we most certainly will:

Here are a few Sample Pictures I have lots more:
Not for dial up users: I can FTP these and last years pics if you want. Some of you all may like these highlights:

    Alpina B6 e21

BMW Club Racer 320i S14 Evo II 275HP

    Father and son combo:

Dad's car: 600 HP plus 6 series turbo: VIS custom Carbon Fiber hood, sodium filled valves, paunter rods, MM cam:

    Son's car Hartge 5 series:

Stunning Alpina B7 5 series turbo:

    Best Exterior
1988 White M3 with evo II Spec 2.5 engine asbsoultely flawless white car with BMW M racing stripes! ( my freinds 2000 M roadster is next to it) Thats the owner in the red shirt in the second picture.

Also there where at least 3 Supercharged e46 m3, 1 turbo 540, and one supercharged 540.

I also talked to the owner Brett of the Alpina b6.

He and I chatted for a while and we found a airplane landing strip nearby. The owner of this airport was a cool guy, and he races cars at his location. He has some sort of custom BMW that goes 150 or something - and I asked him where could you go this fast?? I am not interested in going 150..
But -we the Alpina B6 and myself are going to have a race - a 0-100 shoot out when my stroker engine is in my car at this place.

B6 was very nice, and he got in trouble with the law yesterday for going Almost double the speed limit! I quess this is what you run into with a awesome Alpina B6 and the bored cops.

All and all a most excellent birthday..but a certain red/orange 323i was MIA

    Later,
    J

Oh Well there is always next year...

    Thanks for the great pics!

IIRC that 6 series turbo is the one recently painted by the McGinns. Great looking cars all!

The owner of the m3 is a nice guy, I was next to him in my freind's roadster and he says his paint job cost him 15K and he has over 30k in reciepts.

I am not sure who won best interior but it will be on Bav Auto''s website.

It was fun but my 323i was not there.

PS: Two brothers drove all the way from canada.
They where at a stop light and someone hit one, who drove his car into the back of his brothers..so their cars where pretty jacked up. And it stinks when its your own family.

Best of luck to your friends in fixing the cars. They didnt seem to worried about it. At least one of the three came out unscathed.

I am sure that the damage is fixable. Hope you come out next year.

Like our brothers on the west cost, that had 11 or so e21s - we are going to do a e21 group picture after the show ends.

Haha I am starting to rethink making the 7 hour treck next year. Out of the 3 Ottawa BMW's that went to the show only one came back with no damage. Anymore pics of the damaged cars? Thanks

J knows him. Name of "Manny." Check this thread (which btw has more Gr.2 pics at the end now)

Slightly worked m10, not much motor for the ginormous Hyashi Racing Equip's. But so what, it's freakin cool.
'98 540i/6 -- M5 3:15 LSD, Einhorn and Powerflex bushings / 6-piston e81 front calipers / Zionsville rad. / UUC V12 clutch for now /UUC SSK/ BC coilovers with Swift Springs / Dinan intake / muffler delete / OE M5 valances / Hamann PG2s and various wheelsets / new seals everywhere, new factory glass

    Thats Manny's widebody.

Nic. Thats Manny's widebody. I have seen it so many times over the last 10 years, I really did not take any pictures of it.

He is running a slightly built m10 with a carb, HRE big custom rims, and a fiberglass kit thats not korman. 320i black recaros are on the inside.
The car is for sale, but IMO i like CJ's, Jbobs, Attila's and your car far better.

This kit requires the removal of the front fenders. Also a significant amout of material (read most of your e21 quarters are toast) has to be cut into and removed from the rear quarters to make it work.

I can give you all the info. I think Bimmer magazine featured his car a while back. Here are a few more photos:

A few more taken yesterday by more old roomate's camera

BMW club racer's car was one of the e21 show sleepers. I dont really dig the yellow headlights, however its pretty killer. There is something to be said for swaping in a built s14 2.5 engine 275 Hp into your 320i. Weight distrubition is very good and so is the power
