    buying a 525i 2001!!!!!!

Hey guys this is my first post into the bmw world. Im buying a 2001 525i in about a week.(I WILL POST PHOTOS AS SOON AS I GET IT). I just wanted to ask a coulple of Q's. Im going to purchase some led halo angel eyes, instead of the dull yellow ones. Does anybody have any recomdations on where to purchase them?? also does anybody have any bad or good coments about the tune by burger motorsports-BMS Power Box (PBX) Non-Turbo Tuner $279.?!?!?!?!

And lastly, anything about intakes- brands, size?
    Thanks guys!

    1. Dont put performance mods on your 525i, it's slow and it will always be slow
    2. That tuner won't even work with your car. Its for the newer model E60

+1 e39s engines really don't mod well. The general consensus from enthusiasts is to buy the car with the engine you want from the start. Otherwise you really won't be fully satisfied with it. If you are really looking for power and torque the 525 is the worst choice. It is the entry level 5 series and is known for being underpowered in comparison to the rest. In order of hp and torque: 525, 528, 530, 540. A manual tranny is generally preferred here because they seem faster and more fun to drive. You may want to test drive a few others. Make sure you get a pre-purchase inspection. No one here would dare buy without. Seriously!

Get a 3 series, you can pick up an e46 335i with relatively low milage for a decent price. As for mods/parts www.bavauto.com

One vote for saving your money for real repairs. You could be looking at $1000-$5000 worth of repairs on this car, depending on a few factors.
