Anyone here purchased a new carpet set and if so, where and how'd it look? I need something pretty badly. I know World Upholstery sells sets but they are $425 plus shipping. Was really hoping to stay around $350 shipped.
Thanks.
Before you order any carpet, let me check where I got mine...it was under $250 shipped, and looks great. It is molded and was simple to install. Plus, it came with the rear dash piece too.
I will check tonight and post it here...

Esty makes a cut rug that people like. Looks really good.
The 2 tone MBZ loop is close, but no cigar.

You can ask them for a sample.
Still undecided what I'm going to use in mine, there's some cool loops that are used in aircraft these days, but it's 80 bucks a yard and up.
I just got looped carpet in Charcoal Grey (sort of salt and pepper) from

Tell Art your friend "Jose" with the old unpainted BMW, i.e. yours truly (as it's the name on my cc) who just bought carpet referred you. They special ordered it for me from one of their suppliers and got it the next day. I gave a 50% deposit. Total was about $140 picked-up for 4 yards of Carpet 600's 40"-wide "Loop" Charcoal Grey.
Not the first time I've purchased from them. They are the local distributor for almost all of the upholstery shops in the Ventura County. They have all sorts of vinyl, carpet, foam, tools, etc. They might be able to get it dropped shipped to you directly.
Let me know if you want a picture of what I just got. Note that it was not molded or anything. Just a rolled-up carpet. It will require some work. Art said it was meant for VWs.

IIRC, rockauto sells carpet sets for the E21 that are ~$250.
Also, BavAuto sells them and currently has one color on clearance for $250... I think the color is blue, but they had black and tan as well for much more money.
If I didn't have super clean carpet it mine, I'd go for marine carpet... Not quite the same vibe as looped carpet, but it'd look clean and you could get enough to the inside, the rear parcel shelf, and the trunk for ~$100
I sold this car after a very lengthy restoration, but it's just too pretty to remove from my sig.

But is Esty still making these sets? It's been a while since I've seen any recent posts and it was several months ago when someone in one of those threads asked if the carpet was still available.
I will say, those sets looked fantastic though!

I have this in my 323i. Fitment is good. Trimming is necessary, but you could use your old carpet as a template. The edge along the floor by the rear seats is unfinished. I left mine like that, but it wouldn't be hard to finish if you or someone you know is handy with a sewing machine. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Crap. Another thing in the neverending supply of things to detract from my bank account. Where do I sign?
I looked up where I ordered it...stockinteriors.com. Here is the link directly to the 320i carpet:

I think I ordered the mass backing to use it for noise reduction. Like it was mentioned, there is a little cutting, but the mold really fits well. Take it out of the box, and put it over your old rug after it is pulled from the car. It helps it to shape properly before you install it. The finished look is very rewarding. We completed the look with Coco Mats!
