replaced rear shocks- what a difference

My indy replaced my old rear shocks with new Boge shocks, shock mounts and bump stops today after 188,000 miles. We also replaced springs with newer OE springs with only 60,000 miles on them (thanks Rick L.).

What a difference, no thump over bumps and flat cornering. Steering feels more direct. Just feels better planted. Glad I finally got around to having it done.
    Thanks,
    Russell

Haha I did this about 2 months ago as well, except used Bilstein HD's.

Made a world of difference. The original 203,xxx mile Sachs shocks were so done.

I'd like to do that just for the springs. The originals in my car were so weak by the time I bought it that I didn't even have to lower it in the back.
Black on black 525i with an M30B35 swap, 5 speed, shifter that falls off, chip, 4.10 rear, Style 123 wheels, 262,000 miles and getting better all the time.

I just did ours as well, the handling and ride quality are greatly improved. New strut/shock mounts, bump stops, and spring pads too.

The car has 185,000 miles and drives like a car with 25,000.

Forgot to add. I did the front struts-no springs about 80,000 miles ago. So I may some front/rear "balance" difference because of this. Dogbones, sway bar bushings and links have all been replaced at one time or another.
