Great information. However, I thought it was interesting that in the summary of changes for 95 the * indicated that the leather door rest would not start until 9/95 production since mine has them and is a 7/95 production.

Mine has leather door rests and it is a 1/95 production date. OOPS- the 9/95 was in refrence to tourings only

Yup. The 1995 dealer brochure I have says only 7/94 production and onwards for 6 speed but I think I have seen earlier ones for 95 MY.

And I have no knowledge/no way of making a PDF so if someone wants to do that and upload it go right ahead.

You can make your own pdf by saving each image as a jpg (about 25) and then combining all of them into a pdf. At least you can with Adobe Acrobat professional.

So I'm not sure if I read that correctly, but it says that before 1995 the 540iA had a 2.93 final drive?

1995 was the first year of the 2.81?
