1 Series (E81, E82, E87, E88) A generous bonnet, a long wheelbase and short overhangs are typically associated with sports cars. Here they make it clear that the BMW 1 Series is similarly dedicated to driving pleasure.

Im really loving my new 135!!!

I havent spent much time on these forums yet, but at quick glance it looks like you guys are very active here and that excites me. I started out on vwvortex and had a VFE Stage IV R32.
That was an epic.

I traded it in on a flatbed a year ago for an 05 CTS V. Great overall car but the trans and rear end were bad enough to make me want out after a year.

I picked up my 2009 135i from Park Ave BMW a couple weeks back. I had a deposit on an 09 M3 at Orange County BMW but somehow wound up with the twin turbo and so far, no regrets.

I had a feeling this was going to happen. Crazy that this engine puts out 5 more pounds of torque than the M3. I got a great deal and went for the 100K powertrain plus warranty and the Rim/tire protection package. I really liked the whole package, the color and the wheels really sold me. Obviously, the torque delivery is awesome for an OEM car...and im willing to bet there is significant potential to turn things up. I would certianly like to hear the turbos more.

So, ill stop typing now and start linking up some pics of the new ride!

Congrats! You won't be disappointed, for sure. These cars are incredibly fun, and with a few (relatively cheap) mods, you can really make them beasts.

Only thing I'm not loving is the biege headliner... Canadian cars with sport pkg get a anthracite (Black) headliner. My mom's 135i has Savannah Beige W sport pk, so looks identical inside below the window-line. Great choice.

Once you have it off the lot and away from the true silver cars (Titanium silver) does the bluewater still look as blue? I really like the color, but when I see it on a dealer's lot I cant help but think it looks like baby blue. I absolutely love it in pics like yours though.

i am planning to buy a 135i. i have a few questions...

how is the ride quality?
is it good on gas?
have you had any major problems since you bought it?
what other cars were you considering to buy in that area of performance?

thanks, nick

Baby Blue is pretty intesne in its true form. I would say the color def leans towards it though. This is my 4th car in a row that is silver...well its silverish though lol. Im def jealous of the black headliner but ill deal for a few years.

The ride is good. Ive been driving on low pros for the last 8 years so im used to it. I like the runflat technology. The caddy was alot heavier so uneven surfaces around turns feel a bit more skittish in the 135.

Im getting 20.4mpg and driven about 1500 miles or so. Ive been using all the trans modes. The D is smooth, DS is sporty and M puts it down. I sent it out sideways from the post office with the DTC off yesterday.

I was looking at spending alot more money than this car was. CTS-V, M3, used M5, 06 Carrera. This car was a great deal and felt faster than the M3 with all that torque. I got a great deal and its an awesome car.
