But i dont doubt at all that the c5 is going to run a quicker standing 1/4 mile. the m5 is a 4000 lb tank and the corvette weights 3200 (i think the convertible is a 100 lb heavier). Granted that my aftermarket exhaust as well as some other things i have done cut off a decent amount of weight.
250 torque? was that a mistype? and 01+ models are all rated 375trq... (the ratings were junk for the most part and a big hahaha thing for GM back then [see sig] but the pre 01 models were still rated 350trq which I assume is what you meant to type.)

Yes that was a mistype. It was supposed to be 350 ft-lb. All the major magazines (car&driver, motortrend) and major car sites like edmunds has the 2001+ corvette's listed at 360ft-lb. The only place i've seen with 375 is the site you have provided. I wonder how they got this extra torque.

I dont know much about corvettes beside that they are bad ass, so i could be wrong.

It's likely the magazines are just not posting the 375 figure because they don't know any better.

I've seen it listed in many places. No big deal I wouldn't expect people that don't follow the LSx series to know that they went with the LS6 intake, different cam, more effecient cats, etc in 01+ models.

This has a good overview of changes. I believe they are limiting the torque output via Torque Management (tuning) on the automatics... I know removing TM from LSx based vehicles makes very large improvements.

Nothing against you at all...I just spend all my time focusing on what I know and you focus on what you know.

Skipping all the debates here, those races were SPOT-ON accounting for road speed/gearing and driver mod. Very closely matched cars.
