H&R OE-Sport Spring Question..
Hey guys!
I've been lurking here quite a bit and finally made an account. Sorry if it's against the rules or whatever, but I'm not much into posting an intro thread. My current suspension is starting to go, so I was looking at Bilstein HD's accompanied by H&R OE-Sport springs. My E36 is one of the few pre 6/92 production cars. I've got the correct struts/shocks needed, but when I browse through the H&R springs, the only OE-Sports I can find are post 6/92. Do they even make them for pre 6/92 production E36's? I'm shopping ECStuning.com. But even a google search doesn't show any other sites that stock them. I don't want to go with Sports or Race, so please don't offer that as an alternative. I appreciate all the help guys! -Tom Just called H&R. They don't even make them. All they offer are the Sport springs for Pre 6/92 E36's. Drops the ass end 1" and the front 1.5". Anyone know if they'll match alright with Bilstein HD's? Last edited by Gunslinger7; 10-29-2009 at 04:45 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

You can buy a suspension update kit from understeer that lets you use any 6/92+ 325/323/328 suspension kit. It's at the bottom of this page:

The kit is really just a collection of parts from the newer cars, the same you'd get at a dealership. Every 6/92+ already came with those parts from the factory, understeer just sells them together as a package.

If you're going with sport springs then use the Bilstein Sport dampers instead of the HD ones since the HD ones aren't meant for any lowering. H&R sport springs are at the limit of lowering hat the Bilstein Sports can really even handle properly with the E36 from what I've heard.
