Has Anyone Wrapped Their Sun Visors with CF?

I was wondering if anyone has actually done it and what's involved in the whole process.

1. Does the adhesive stick on the cloth material?
2. Do you need to disassemble the actual visor from the mirror?
3. What do you do with the document holder strap?

Thanks in advance.

That's after the CD hanging from the mirror. And while you're at it, what the hell! Wrap whatever you have at hand!

Trust me, it sounds a lot worse then it actually is. Here is a picture of it done with matching interior trim. Assholes.

Still looks bad IMO. Why not leave that beautiful dark-grey alcantara headliner alone?

I unfortunately have grey cloth and after removing my cracked warning stickers there is still some visible glue residue.

*Used clear tape + hair dryer method.

CF should be used sporadically, and on small bits like trim, IMO. Sure you could wrap a seat with it...

In the famous words of Ian Malcolm, "Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."

Beats me, I just wanted to wrap mine to get rid of the ugly glue residue and give my headliner some contrast. Nothing wrong with a little tasteful carbon fiber cloth gentlemen.

Do what you want....

That camel interior does look off with the sticker on top of the cf. If you dont have any cf anywhere else in your car why would you put it solely on the visors. If all you need to do it remove the glue residue why dont try goo gone or some other adhesive removal. His interior gets away with the cf because its a beautiful interior to begin with and there is cf complimenting it. But if you want to really do it nobody is going to stop you.

Im pretty sure you would have to strip it down. I did a headliner reinstall once and wanted the visors to also match the condition of the headliner. i stripped the fabric off the visor and there was a hard plastic that was underneath. I ended up not reupholstering them, but painting them flat black (for an old jeep, but looked nice). There is glue residue that might be left over from the glue holding the fabric. If I were reupholstering visor the I would leave the strap off unless you really use it that much. I think it would just add an unneccesary degree of difficulty.

WOW...it sure looks like cf. Guess it's just a patterned fabric, eh? The cf interior does look bitchin' though...

I personally can't stand the stupid warning stickers as it brings down the interior of my LUXURY car. Is there any way to get rid or them without leaving an ugly mess or completely rewrapping them?

I think you can look for Euro-spec sun visors at Ebay. My car doesn't have those stickers.

It really depends in what condition your stickers are in. When I took mine off they came off like butter....the issue was that it was cracked and some of glue got pushed towards the clean area.

Get clear plastic packaging tape, put it on, heat it up and peel. Done in 30 secs.

Nobody said they were CF. People stated they were carbon fiber fabric wrap, like the rest of that interior, which it definitely still is. And as far as the warnings, im not sure, maybe he wanted the ultra OEM look. I am not sure whether or not he does but judging by the picture, he does.

Also, it seems like it would be incredibly hard to get the visors done looking nicely. There is no where to tuck in the excess.... I think it would just be tacky, so idk, dont do it.

Also, alcantara headliners dont come with alcantara sun visors. My visors are black leather.

it appears that the sunvisors in that M5 are leather and the stitched seam is making you guys think it's CF. Optical Illusion.
