Tired of SoCalEuro2008 Pics Yet? Too Bad! Ha Ha...

First real post in here. Expect more that I finally don't have to deal with wifes P&S's...you've been warned!

Taken with my 2 week old and first DSLR, a Pentax K200D. Sealed Body (over 60 seals in the body, another 12 in the battery grip), Anti Shake that work with any Pentax mount ever made almost, an improved sensor from last years Pro Model, and more. Even the Kit lens (unlike everyone elses) is very good, read the review at DPreview.

All were taken with the Kit Lens with a Circular Polarizer, ISO100, AutoWB, Ap Priority. No PP except Picasa feeling lucky for half (uploaded from work, half from home - no pp) then first ever upload to Photobucket. (first new camera in 23 years not counting P&S's!) I shot in RAW+, but have a lot to learn about how to use Silkypix. (the included program, have Adobe CS Suite too) So these were shrunk from the jpegs.

Our Camp - The Hellrot (Bright Red) M3 is mine, the Dakar (Yellow) 318is is my #2 Son's. (yes, he bought it)

Thanks Dude, means something coming from some of you regulars that post all the time in here. Back in the 80's I used to have a 2nd job selling camera equip here in SoCal at 1 of the 2 hottest spots for that stuff....and did side jobs for Western Digital (my main employer at the time) and Stand 21 and even some weddings. And went to every race and airshow in the state almost. Have thousands of prints and slides...lol. Been wanting to get back into it bad, finally made the plunge. Fun releaning and learning anew the Digital way...

I originally posted them on a Camera Site I frequent, I could some more like the Enzo driver must have been Mr. Magoo. If Mr. Ferrari was still around he would have pulled out the dudes still beating heart and stomped on it! When he arrived and left he putt-putt-putt'd it...everyone else would rip for a moment...but he was loser. Could have been a Kia motor for all we know....

Thats Don's, from Irvine. Met him finally, nice kid. He could tell you storys about that body kit.

My 2nd son wants the same thing for his 318is after putting a LS1 in it. Don also would like to do the LS1 swap sometime.
