Proper touch-up technique?
Ok, bought some touch-up paint from the dealer. What, exactly, is the proper technique? I tried it on a couple of less-noticeable spots just in case (glad I did).
The paint is very thin so I make sure I don't have too much. I touch up the part I want painted. Let it dry over night and go back with the clear coat. The paint looks reasonable enough but the clear coat is just waaaaaay to thick and actually makes the spot stand out more than without. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks. |

Scroll about a third of the way down the page to paint chip repair. Very detailed instructions. |
