8 Series (E31) (1991 - 1997) As the last E24 rolled off the production line in 1989, its replacement was quick on its heels to fulfill the fantasies of those looking for a touring coupe with all of the luxury, performance, and prestige of a BMW, only now with both 8 and 12 cylinder engines.

For Sale - My Beloved CSi (UK)

Well, my priorities in life have changed and my car is now for sale. I thought I could afford to keep her and get on with my life, but now that I'm getting married, I've decided to get a litte smarter with my money... for the time being. Perhaps when grow up a bit, I'll buy another E31

So... here are some pics first of all, these are the most recent:

I payed £££ revamping the brakes, which was a full monty job done by Phoenix Motorsports. The callipers were sandblasted, had the seals replaced, then poweder coated followed by ///M decorating. Some new original OEM discs were drilled and zinc plated, and finally some stainless steel braided lines. The brake system was entirely revamped.

I wanted to ///M the interior, so I started with this, and I've also placed a couple of ///M tabs on the rear seats. I'll take some pics when I get the chance to.

I still have the original Throwing Star Wheels, and they can be negotiated to be included in the sale, should someone want to use them for winter tires.

The Blurb

Chassis Number: CC88006

The car has done 123,000 miles.

I bought this car, with the mind to restore it to 100%. The idea was to do it by revamping an entire system at a time.

The temprature played up at first so I changed the radiator and it's has since then behaved without a glitch.

There was a brake/steering fluid leak which was due to a faulty pipe. This was replaced and has been fine since.

I had all the bushes, arms, links, rods, and wotnots replaced. The whole front end was rebuilt. The idea was, get the car stable on its feet, then restore the next part.

I revamped (or Phoenix revamped) the brakes system. Whilst this was excellent, it highlighted some weaker parts in system. The front end rebuild was not 100%, so some more work was done there by Phoenix. There's was still a small wobble that happened around 55mph and 20mph but that's now completely gone and it brakes QUICKLY!!

Then came the wheels. The 19" M-parallel wheels are quite a sight on the car with the extreme lip on the rear. They sit very nicely both on the back and front, and they are a very rare set to find. They are brand spanking new, have only been on there a few months, and have very wide 285 rears and 245 front. They are not any old tire either, they are Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3. I didn't buy cheap ones, I got the £400 a pop ones!

The body work is in fantastic condition with no major dents or scratches. There's a very small dent on the boot, which looks like something sharp dropped on it at some point. This is hardly visible.

The car has MOT (another 8 months or so) and road tax is valid till the end of this month.

The private SSN 850 plate is included in the sale.

The interior is in great condition

The OBC is immaculate and has no dead pixels

The car comes with the diversiety antenna, which was part of the highest end BMW RDS Pro system or similar. There's also the original BMW Amp in the rear (this is either an Alpine or a Blaupunkt - dont' recall) and CD changer.
(For those that know about the carpc, I've removed it and put the original equipment back in.

Optional throwing stars not included but can be negotiated

I can't recall the exact name, soemting like RDS pro. I'm not sure if this is the standard in CSi's

Here's what it looks like has another unit in the rear called Diversity I think.

See what marriage does to people!
You wouldn't have trouble selling here in the States for that price!
GL with the marriage.

Cheers guys. Thanks for the wishes. Yea, price is low, I can always ship, only you'll have the wheel on the other side!

I'll get another one day I'm sure... just not these very days for now.

K, I'll still lurk these forums like a flailing fart!

Awww man, that sucks. But sometimes you have to do things like this. Best of luck with your upcoming marriage. You won't need any luck selling that car, it's awesome.

Following some discussions, I've decided to drop the price to £11,950.

I'll be advertising on Autotrader / Piston Heads soon.

Finally, I'm considering a part exchange with a E46 330Ci Convertible

Cheers!

Sama,

Hate to see you sell your ride bro... you've put alot of TLC in it and it shows. You have also displayed alot of pride it her and have every right to do so. Fully understand family and priorities, wish you the very best of luck in your marriage and in the sale.

Yo (Cheers),
Rod

cheers

yea, going across the pond has a few woes

and why the hell do we have RHD cars anyway? it's all very silly if you ask me.

They said that when they did it back in the day, accident rates halved over night... well... that's probably because everyone was so frigging confused that they were being extra extra careful. I'd like to see results compared today!

I'd like to say congratulation to getting married, but I wonder if I shall really do it if you need to sell your CSi for that
Keep in mind that it is much easier to find another super hot babe than such a nice 850CSi
If your future wife REALLY LOVES YOU she will encourage you to keep it.
My wife actually sponsored my 1st M635CSi before we got married - lucky me. And we're still happy, have two wonderful kids and three E24 meanwhile - and my wife still doesn't complain

and once in a while she even says she still loves me (after 14 years). Is that great???

thanks for the best wishes dude.

in all fairness, she did encourage me to keep it. It's my choice though as I need to free up some cash to clear various debts etc.

nice plate btw!
