Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?
Kevin, if the timing is right, I might bring my entire BMW club here in Gainesville to the event.

At least 10 of us will attend.
I'll keep watching the thread, I'll be there.

If I can find and purchase the right e39 in time, I will definitely be there! Lauderdale Pines BMW is at the end of my street (148th Ave).
The more the marrier... I was told that there will be food, giveaways, contests and representatives there. Last time, they had mechanics on hand to read/reset cE lights and they put some cars up on the lift to let the representatives answer questions for the crowd.

Do you have an exact date yet Kev? Preferably a Saturday would be awesome.
I am working with the dealership to nail down the date... as soon as I know, I'll pass it along.

I just bought a used Z4 from them, as car buying experience goes, I have to say they were pretty cool. Down the street from me too.
Im so in...
Wow count me in!
I'm down.
I'm so in!
It would be must better if its Saturday than Sunday (for us that have class Monday morning ) And from the sounds of this, its going to be well worth the 400+ miles RT

I'm still waiting on a day from the dealership... it really depends on what day they can accomodate us. Saturday they are open, but are taking normal service requests. Sunday they are closed meaning people would have to come in on their day off.
I'm waiting for confirmation from them...

Ok... more info. The date is going to be either Nov. 3rd or Nov. 10th. It has to be on a Sunday because they can not shut down the Service area on a Saturday for all of the food, table preparation, demonstration show & tell and contests.
Good news is it will be early enough so you will have plenty of return home driving time if you are coming from far away.
Car Transportation companies are ready if necessary if you are bringing more than one car.
