7 Series (E23, E32, E38, E65, E66) The flagship BMW 7 Series has sparked the imagination with idea that luxury does not have to come at the sacrifice of performance since its birth in 1977. Well appointed with thick leather, wood trim, and more gadgets than Bond could shake a stick at, the 7 Series is the epitome of a luxury cruiser, and a fast, well handling one at that.

Thumbs up DFW7 presents: The Redhead Sisters :-) (8/18/07)

Some of the guys (9) got together yesterday to discuss our September events (Sept 8th Laps for Charity II - Drive your own car at Texas Motor Speedway where we have a 6:00 PM spot reserved for DFW7; and BMW CCA Oktoberfest in Fort Worth, 9/30/07 ~ 10/05/07). I only notified a few DFW7 old timers & volunteers as in larger meets we tend to get spread thin performing multiple duties at the same time. We also took the oppurtunity to update our Nav OS. Special thanks to J A M E S. and Sealbeach740i.

Anyways, the DFW7's "Imola Red" twins finally got together for the first time.

David's 12K Miles Dinan Stage 5 and Stephen's Sport (Stephen started with an E38, moved to a first year E65 that gave him nothing but trouble, so he send that one back to BMWNA and got an Imola Red instead)

TxDarth's Paddle Shifter Setup (fantastic, put a smile on your face, and what a sweet exhaust note on the new setup, perfect for E38 IMHO)

Note: We need good photographers like Immaculate, etc. My skill is non-eixtence and I discovered afterward that the lens was dirty... Oh well, we had a good time, that's what counts

JL

Sexy Imola 740IL

The two sexy cars are Imola in color. Both are factory. Mine is the one on the right with black interior. It needs a good coat of wax to bring out the shine. I rarely can pry it from the death grip of my wife to drive it. Thanks for the comments.

Not fair...

OK guys,
Wife has stolen my keys a couple of times in the middle of the night to drive my black 740iL. Now she wants one, right? Of course! And I go ahead and screw up and show her the two Imolas here, and you guessed it, nothing else will do.
I can find one Imola red 740 in the country (San Diego) under 100k miles. Any suggestions? BMW NA site doesn't show one in the 1019 E38s they have listed.

They seem to run in cycles...none and then there will be 3-4 in a month.

the imola red is a factory red for the \\\ cars

and a few lucky 7 owners and only available for 2001 and sport models
( guess it was an end of model special or something)
at least thats the only year and model i have seen in the this red

mine was ordered and from what i have gathered all the imola reds were ordered ~ the dealorships did not order for their inventory

I'll just have to be patient

Thanks, I have an autotrader alert set up and will continue to monitor BMWNA CPO list.
I still may just bite it and go out to San Diego...
