    Debadged Pics

    Restless as ususal...

E31 to me embraces simplicity. The inherent minimalist aesthetic remains certainly one of the defining elements that makes E31 a classic car.

Well, enough semantics: I debadged my ride.

Here are some pics taken today about an hour ago. And yes, I snuck in a few extra pics since she's lookin' so damn fine!

Next up ASAP, full body CSi kit, lowering springs and lots of grins.

it's bloody freezing here, with cold winds and gray skies all day. Has been like this for a week and will probably be like that forever... how gloomy!

Ditto ... your ride always looks great... the 3/4 rear shots look very aggressive.

It was 60 degrees here but rained all the way home. Koizumi, your car always looks beautiful and if I were to buy an 8 right now I would look for some one who takes that good care of their car!

Man, that car shines! Tomorrow it's supposed to be 60 and sunny so I might just have to skip work and detail mine.

Koizumi, I’ve always appreciated your ride, and am, in fact, looking at it right now as my April model in the E31 calendar. Shouldn’t the term, however, be de-numbered? Because for anyone who has ever said they de-“badged” their E31, I still see the BMW badges on the rears, wheels and front.

I know this forum won't care for this picture, but meh, it's relevant.

Black, white, and red cars show up the best debadged. The E31 does it best because it doesn't seem to have a trunk slot for the key. My E39 does, but it still looks better without the badge. Plus people will think I have an I6 now. Til it's time to step up.

Perhaps the term really should be 'de-numbered', but I guess that the model numbers are in fact also a badge of sorts. Debadged (or denumbered) looks great!

I simply stuck the Brembo decals onto the Brembo calipers. They are weather resistant and stain resistant.

Cheers to all those 8's out on the road!!

PS. Thanks gentlemen for the kind words. I am enjoying Miss April immensely

I just want to say... that since I've been browsing the forums over a year ago that you have by far the most beautiful 8 I have seen, Koizumi.

Hopefully one of these days when I'm in LA I'll be able to see it in person!

    Cheers,
    Thomas
