    Original Window sticker, Car Options

just been thinking and kinda curious on it.

i figured some of you are Original Owners possibly and would have the Window Sticker from the dealer. just wondered about what the price would have been on my 90 525i. any info would be appreciated.

and also what are some of the more rare options that were available for them like optional car covers, interior parts, road hazard kit, tire chains what ever, just want to know for my own knowledge.

My 90 525i rang the register for a bit over 35K. Cold weather package was the only option. I can scan and post the original sticker when I get home friday.

A 1990 535i cost something like 45k. Which is more like 60k in 2007 dollars. Options? None of this is confirmed: there was a cold weather package - an LSD and a skipass (heated seats were standard), a moonroof, a CD changer, a sport package (maybe Europe-only?), automatic climate control, traction control, possibly a trailer hitch, EML, possibly memory seats, a slushbox (though 95% of US 535i's had it), maybe rear headrests, and an integrated cell phone. Mine came with the cell phone, but nothing else. The only other options I've heard of actually in existence on US cars are the cold weather package, EML, CD changer, and the moonroof (and only one at that - Cereal Killa's).

The 525i had heated seats and leather as an option. Window sticker was something like $37,635.

The 540i has heated seats as an option... that's about all the 540i/6 could be optioned with, AFAIK. Everything else was standard (except rear headrests...not sure about those ).

Don't even want to know how much this thing cost when new in 1995, but I'm guessing about $55,000+.

Accessories can be found in the online parts database: www.realoem.com

Just enter the last 7 digits of your car then click the "Browse Parts" button at the bottom...work your way down to ACCESSORIES and UNIVERSAL ACCESSORIES to check out some of the extras that are available. You can also find accessories in some of the other major groups, as well. Accesories will usually be the last group in the "SUB GROUP" catagory of the MAIN GROUP catagory.

Below gives a basic understanding of what an original window sticker might have looked like on a 95 525i Touring:

    sweet thanks guys.

i just figured that BMW would have had extra options much like Acura does, i am also on a few Integra furoms/clubs and there is alot of odd little parts that were optional and extremely rare.

one guy found a Acura First aid kit at a junk yard which is pretty cool, another cleaned out his trunk for the track one day and there was a box in the spare tire well with bungee cord tire chains. even now you can go into the Acura dealer and order tons of optional parts.

Better yet...walk into a BMW dealers parts dept and ask for the newest Accessory Catalog...they're free.
