    2006 750LI Traction Control switch?

I have honestly had this car for about 8 months now and have no clue where the traction control switch is. Does anybody know where it is?

The computer seems so complicated that there has to be an easy switch but i have no clue where to look...

    Thanks in advance..

I think if I remember it lower left corner. Should be something labeled DTC under the first menu option.

Its in the idrive menu but can be programed to be controlled via the steering wheel hot button.

    Car settings
should be on the top of the left hand side

This is going by memory, so it might not be all correct.

Or you could just read the Manual.

you should have a star looking button on your steering wheel that can be programmed to turn on/off anything.

I think by default its configured to turn on/off auto park.

but yea...you want to turn off DTC or something like that..hell i cant even remember anymore....as you have to do it every time you start the car..which annoys me.

OK, found the DTC. It's just where you guys said it would be. Unfortunatly you can't program it to one of the available hot buttons. You have to go in and disable it everytime you start the car (as mentioned above). The real pisser is that the DTC will automatically come on if you spin the wheels.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

So pretty much, there is no reason for one of my kids to disable traction controle and spin my rear wheels to the point of white smoke everywhere?

Because I have the feeling that this is what they have been doing as I need new tires at the moment. 25k miles and need new tires.. great for the runflat upgrade...

No- 25k on e65 rear tires is about normal, I've seen aggressive drivers with the softer conti's need replacements at 16k.

Lucky guys....my 2002 745i sure is quick but wont even chirp the tires. Btw the dealer has to program that option for the DTC I found out just like the dealer had to program my car to lock the doors when I put it in drive.

I love the auto lock feature. When I pass 10MPH all the doors lock. This also happened on my 2000 740IL

Let me know how you can chirp the tires on your 750Li.... I've tried with no luck. Low end on this car is nothing. It's the high end that gobbles up pretty much anything on the road.
