My wife and I went to the Bahamas for our honeymoon. We didn't stay at Atlantis, but we visited it for a day. It was nice...clean, big. But WAY too "touristy". We stayed at a place called Compass Point. It was awesome! You don't have a room, everyone gets their own seperate hut! Every hut has a balcony with supports that go right down into the ocean. It was absolutely incredible! If you are single...go to Atlantis. If you are going somewhere with a girl, check out something like Compass Point. MUCH more intimate!

Atlantis is absolutely incredible!! I didn't stay there, but I went to check it out over two days while I was in Nassau on a cruise. It is really, really impressive!

Atlantis is great! They have it all, you never have to leave the resort.

we have a young child so it would be nice to have everything there as we won't have the freedom to go site seeing all day long. The pools/logoons look spectacular. The water is pumped in from the ocean.

Its great if you have a wife and kids. But I went with two friends when we were 18 and it was not what we thought it would be. The place is huge, and you dont have to leave the resort for anything at all. My only compaint with the entire trip is that we were the only people that were 18-21. But that is no ones fault but our own. For any other age group there is absolutly nothing wrong with it.

i went there about a year ago and it was awesome...they have so much stuff for kids to do and for adults to do too. they literally have everything it was sooo much fun. the people at the hotel let my mom interview different baby sitters for my little brother so the family could go to the old english governors house which is now a very nice restaurant, supposedly the nicest in the bahamas with the 3rd largest wine collection in the world. i would recomend goign there with your wife if you decide to go to atlantis.

Went there this past July and had a great time. Activity-wise the place is great, no need to leave. It actually is the world's largest aquarium, with all the habitats all around the resort. My room was over a pond with everything from hammerhead sharks to manta-rays. They have several water slides including one called "Leap of Faith" which is nearly vertical and finishes by traveling through the predator tank via an enclosed glass tube.

Now I'm 37 with a 9 year old daughter and there was enough there to entertain the both of us. There is a Discovery Channel Camp for the kids and gambling for the adults, if you're so inclined. I even met NBA players Scottie Pippen (and family) and Antwain Jamision while I was there.

For food I ate some meals there and some outside of the resort. There are some good restaurants that are within walking distance or a short cab ride. My favorite was one in Nassau named "Green Shutters".

I'll look for some of my electronic photos from the trip and post tommorw.

    Any specific questions?

All I can say is that Atlantis is like Vegas....but with a beach.
I drive a jeep. An old jeep, so nobody will say I'm driving a BMW anymore. I couldn't stand that BMW, ha ha ha! BMW make pure trouble! -Bob Marley

Atlantis is incredible! When i was there i was gambling next to Micheal Jordan. He was staying in the room in the bridge connecting the two towers. Supposedly its like 25 G a night for that room. But considering one of the employees told me he dropped 100 K the night before he probably got it comped.

I stayed at the Breezes resort on my honeymoon. It's really nice. A step up from that is Sandles resort. I think the disadvantage of Atlantis is that it's not all-inclusive. You pay for EVERYTHING. But it truly is amazing....
