I purchased a new E39 this week. I sold my 525 and picked up this 2000 M5. Has 80K miles and is by far the nicest car I have ever owned. It's faster than my V8 Fiero too.

Well I guess I have waited long enough to post pictures here.

Details:
It is one of the 1265, 540i 6-speed, //M-tech cars that were made for the American market in 2003. The VIN numbers ran from WBADN53423GF70811 THROUGH 2075. It is GF71306 which makes it #496/1265.
I purchased it in 2005 (on Ebay) from a independent sports car dealer in Houston, TX. It was in pristine condition and had about 15k on it. The price was about what wholesale was at that time.
The car is a daily driver, but I am retired and I live in Tucson where it seldom rains, so I keep it fully detailed with Zaino, to maintain that amazing shine, at all times.
