only correlation I can find is dropping the first digit and adding a "1" between the last two digits..Originally Posted by cush111

I miss my E36 and E38; they were The Ultimate Driving ///Machines
someone give me about 3 or 4 other serial number/pass code combinations and I'll see if there is a correlation. But I need the ENTIRE serial number. The numbers before the last 5 digits could be significant.
OK vqman and other code crackers:
My Blaupunkt code is 51113 based for a serial number BP0273 1 9958100.

I’m having the same radio code problem myself. BMW ‘97 328ic (E36). I had to change out my battery and then the radio started asking for a 5 digit code. I pulled it out and looked for the code on the back to no avail.

If someone could tell me what my code is it would be much appreciated.

The dealer told me it would after about 45 minutes. It did not, so I did a search and came up with this forum. In looking through the “Code Wait” thread I discovered that you need to turn the ignition on but not start the car. The dealer never told me that. It also took two hours, not 45 minutes.

I've read alot on these forums about wrong codes but does anyone have experience with 'dead' radios? There was a CD in it when I bought it and the phone, clock, and wait codes all come up -- just no tunes! Please help !?!

Hi, I had the same problem, to replace the battery and now I need the code to activaty the Alpine Radio.
The radio S/N is VO655531. Could you, please provide me the code?? Many tahnks in advance.
Had to do this in my Passat. Also in my Mitz. My comment; Is there a world-wide problem with thieves stealing FACTORY radios??? Am I missing something?
Just another PITA imho.

Hi there:
Could someone help me out with the code for a model C33 DIN US, s/n AL 6BDU T 12 96589? Thanks!
need help for car stereo code, model c33 din us. serial t0780953. PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!
PM JPWheelr, he can provide the codes.
NOT just on and off, read carefully below (already posted in this thread)
To clear the code wait:
- Turn key to ON position without starting the engine for two hours to get rid of the code wait
OR
- Leave the car off for 24 hours and it will reset itself for code input
turn key off an on and it should just say CODE _ _ _ _ _
Input code using station presets.
PM JPWheelr to get your radio code
