right rear of car sits low

    hi everybody,

i have 93 e36 325is, and the right side rear is sitting about 1.5 in. lower than the left side, it had a blown shock on that side, so i replaced the shocks, shock towers, and springs, and it still sits low, tire rubs if i left turn hard or over speed bumps. i can not see anything else wrong. anyone ever run into this? if so what is the fix. thanks eric

Curious if you bent something when you blew that shock?

    sits low

both wheels are the same size and tires are two weeks old and same size. i can't see any bends, but that doesn't really mean much as a really small bend would do a lot at the wheel. i think i need to really go over it again and make sure i didn't see some without seeing it.

Did you forget to install the spring pad on the right side?

You replaced the shock tower? are you sure you don't mean the shock mount?

The height is determined by the springs. sounds like an issue with the spring perches. The shock has nothing to do with ride height on a stock suspension.

    sits low

yes the shock mount, i have all the spring pads in, and no visuale problem with either side where the spring rides, and now i have tried two different brand sping new, and still sits low on the right side. i first put in eibach's and now tried a no name brand lowered spring also. (both are lowered springs.) but had the problem before i replace them in the first place. so i am still thinking something with the mounting of the hub assem. or control arm something i think is bent or something, but i will keep looking into it when i get a chance.

curious if the frame above the rear cradle has begun to collapse. Had a toyota pickup that started to collapse after a few sweet jumps too many. If cradle mounts are same height, chances are the body has begun to settle around it
