Is anybody using a sebring muffler?

I ordered a 2.25 one from 2002 Haus and was wondering what exhaust tip you are using. I have heard about the monza ones, and I also like the plain stainless steel one on the 2002 Haus Website. What could I use that won't look ridicoulous or make my car sound like it has a fart can? Simplistic is best

    Thanks

    Tips for Sebring Mufflers

I recently put the very 2002 Haus Sebring exhaust on my 318is E30/M42 engine after the original muffler went out at 177,000 miles.

I chose a stainless tip from Magnaflow. The muffler shop I went to had about a dozen to pick from that were not DTM/rice/obnoxious.

After hearing this on an M10 it made me want one for my E30. It sounds more british than anything I've heard. Its louder than stock, and you don't hear it till you put your foot into the RPMs about 3,000. Maybe thats partly due to the longer exhaust pipe welded on before the tip itself.

I heard this one on Rob's 2002tii Touring and it made me believe I could have something that looked and sounded good on my E30. As for my TII, I like the sound of the original Eberspacher TII muffler. It's not loud till you put your foot into it either.

I did the Monza exhaust, exiting out the center w/twin tips No resonator, and 2" straight back. It is spretty loud under full throttle, but good rumble under normal driving. Might put a resonator back after a while.

it would probably be a good idea to have a center resonator as well. it changes the sound but doesn't effect backpressure. makes it more bareable at high rpm's on, say, the freeway. they are similar in design to a cherry bomb muffler. just a thought. i think ireland recommends one that magnaflow makes; it is stainless steel as well.

I had the car on a lift yesterday, took this shot for you. Hope that helps... I hope I don't become a slave to shiny and want to polish this thing up every week

Thanks, I got it today. The shinyness is killing me. It almost looks too good to use. Almost...
