My ABS light went on?

My ABS light went on my 635csi, how does the ABS affect the driveability of the car? Should I tow it to the shop or still okay to drive?

I will be prepared for the slamming.
All will be fine, no problem driving unless you are trying to stop too hard/quickly on slick road. ABS will not affect drivability, and these cars are without traction control, so fewer issues.
Do have ABS checked and check tire pressures, uneven rotation of the wheels on the ground will trip the light . Check fluid level in the master cylinder . If all was well before, one of the wheel sensors has gone wacky or the toothed wheel on the hubs have picked up too much crud, or a broken wire, bad connector, blown fuse etc.

Thank you for your response! All has been well. I only drive car around once a month and I don't even open her up enough to keep the brakes clean (bad of me). I drive easy so the car doesn't get any hard stopping. She is my baby so I stop/brake well in advance. Maybe I baby her too much. I have staggered wheel set so no rotation there. I will still have her checked out once I get my Polaris 6er back this week.

You can have it reset at most shops.

Thanks. Will look into it. Hopefully I can find one that can do it because most shops around me seem to shy away from these cars.

Just changing your rear sensors fixed it? I realized my steering shakes when slowing down from a high speed, I'll have to tackle both issues next.

Process of elimination - start with the cheap parts first. By putting Multimeter on the ABS sensor connects, you can verify if it's functioning. My passenger rear had gone out and was causing the fault. Go to BigCoupe for the full write up on diagnosing your ABS fault.
