Technically .webm are videos but are the newer and smaller size format for .gif images. The video insert only support youtube, vimeo, dailymotion and others mentioned.
Wondering if admins are able to find a embedding code/extension to support .webm?

Perhaps the code is located here:

done.
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?
Close! But getting error in firefox "No video with supported format and MIME type found". In chrome, the player shows up but video doesn't play
Seems the new format needs to be added to the server's .htaccess file, from what I found in a google search
AddType video/mp4 mp4 m4v
AddType audio/mp4 m4a
AddType video/ogg ogv
AddType audio/ogg ogg oga
AddType video/webm webm

Does the video work for you, Kevlar or anyone else?????

Surely there is just a quick common solution. Depending on the server type that is used for the forums, maybe you could open help/support thread on vbulletin forums or (BF server type) forums??
