    2001 330CI Purchase Question....

    http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/cto/4668895663.html

    Please help me.

Does this look like a good deal. Obviously I'll test drive and check records.

The Manufacture sticker on the radiator top seems to be missing. Does this indicate a front end collision in your opinion? What other manufacture stickers should I check?

Thanks in advance for ANY help!!

I always have difficulty believing what they say once they mention it has a V-6.

The missing sticker indicates nothing. So does the seller have full maintenance records? Was the cooling system overhauled? Where/who performed the maintenance-the owner?

Changed the oil every 3k miles??? Unless there are receipts for the oil changes the seller is blowing smoke.

The extra tires are Bridgestone Blizzak snows; great snow tire.

Ha. MrTeeThyme, I didn't notice that until you mentioned!

Thanks, MarcoZandrini for your quick response as well!

Certainly would be worth a look. It does look clean from the pics, there are a lot of pics and all of them look clean. if there was repair done to the front end, it appears to have been done correctly.

And it's right near our competition across town.

Better go get before I do.

I never knew Amsoil made oil for cars, I know they make oil for motorcycles. Changing any synthetic oil and filter every 3/k miles is very
expensive. I wouldn't pay nearly 7/k unless it was an M.

Also, there are reports on Bob's the oil guy (BITOG) website that synthetic oil reaches its peak lubricating capability at 2-3k miles!! I agree, 7k miles between changes is the best way to go.

Always garage kept, never driven in Winter.
Then why does he have a set of Blizzaks?

If his inch thick binder supports his maintenance claims it sounds like a good deal. I know my mechanic has Amsoil signs up in his shop so I do think they make it for cars. The oil changes might be overkill, but if true it does show he took good care of it.
