    Problem in the heat mirrors

    Good staff, tou with a problem on my E46 touring 01, the heating of the mirrors is connected is always on, even with the climatronic off! The only way they are not working is with the ignition off! Ever happened to anyone and does anyone know any solution to the problem!

    Mine are the same way. I believe there always heated but idk

    I think mine were always on too. On days when I didn't have heat on but there was condensation on the mirrors, it quickly went away. I assume the heat on the mirrors did that but I don't know for sure.

    some older cars like E34 have it always on.
    E39- IIRC turns on the mirror heating once the outside temps drop below certain threshold (~40F)

    If your car started acting that way recently, then I would check outside temp sensor operation

    Some cars are always on, others have a temperature threshold at which they turn on/off.
