About the Bottas-Magnussen incident:
- - - Updated - - -
I don't think he's a 'bad guy' as such. He just needs to stop those habitual moves which he does repeatedly while defending at(or just before) braking areas. The sudden moves too far into the breaking point and timed according to the overtaker are not ok and not at all what all the other drivers do.
The idea isn't to cause a near collision and totally make the competitor stamp on the brakes, but to make a clear move and stick to it, then see who gets the corner. That's just the way F1 has decided, and it works for everyone else. Let the pure speed and actual duelling manoeuvres decide the battles, not jerking the car right into the path of others right at the braking point.
It's too desperate also: either a driver should be able to defend cleanly or then their pace is just not good enough and should face the fact that the guy behind is so much faster that they're going to get past.

They are the Bieber-fever-esque gossip-fans who don't understand s**t about racing. Just an ignorant mob. But what can you do, Britain has had and still does have a class society: there is still among normal people for example a very small upper class and then a massive scum class.
Lots of smart Brits are tired with the classless tabloid press, yobs, hooligans, etc. and those scum elements are exactly what has been causing this bitchy gossip and fan-mob idiocy too.

BMWs are fun in the snow too...
Great shots from above! And, yes, you can clearly see how he pushed him off the track when he could've provided space to fight fairly for the next corner.
I could honestly see Rosberg's "more than a slap on the wrist" being gifting Hamilton the win here. Look at Toto's smirk after Nico went off at turn 1 the second time and Lewis got by:
Yeah, I saw that. Makes you wonder something like, "Lewis is faster than you ..." kind of thing, but no I don't think so.
@ cheater - so dumb I don't know whether to laugh or weep
I blame the reality shows where people believe that they have a say. Text 44 to have Lewis win the race. Text 999 to give Nico a puncture. Nico wouldn't make it 100 yards without 4 punctured tires, and his engine blowing up.
During the race this scene is what made me think - oh shit Kevin's gone too far this time - because Bottas was clearly in the lead going into the corner.
I actually think that 70% of Kevin's defensive moves have been good. It's just the other 30% don't show enough respect for the other car/driver - i.e. not leaving enough room (corner exit it's somewhat fair but corner entry definitely a huge nope). Another thing I noticed is that sometimes he's purposefully 1/10th of a second later on the gas thus causing the driver behind to evasively get of the gas or tap the brake - mid corner/exit - thus disallowing an undercut advantage.
When Alonso/Hamilton do these "moves" it called expert racing but when anyone else does it it is frowned upon. I must admit that Alonso has been good at respecting other drivers the past couple of years.
I think from now on I'm going to avoid watching the podiums altogether. The booing just leaves such a bad taste after a great race.
Same here. I avoid watching the podium celebrations, but I'll watch the part where the drivers go upstairs and talk to each other and me listening to their conversation, and that's when I turn off the channel/link.

Monza's marketing appeal is it's high speed and history.
Mugello is a freaking rhythm track that xbox has taught me to absolutely adore. Absolutely fun in virtual street cars. It'll just be 'another track' for f1 cars.
My life goal is to retire just outside of Florence, within a half hour's drive to Mugello. Church and tappas lunch with the wife, afternoon track session at Mugello, back home for dinner to ravage the wife over pork.

When called an idiot sometimes is better to be quiet than to open mouth and remove all doubt.

another boring fixed race
MS leaves hospital for a long rehabilitation recovery at home. Long road for him now .... KeepfightingMichael!
And in another news, Lotus have admitted of wrong chassis design. According to them they have sorted out the technical issues they've been dreaded with the entire PU/ERS system since the beginning which they still do but now the chassis is stopping them from making any considerable improvement or progress at all. They have already started to focus on their next chassis for the next year. We'll see ....

After throwing in some numbers here and there I think Mercedes need 87 ( 86 + 1 )* points more to lock down their constructors championship title against RBR.
* Lets assume that Mercedes fail to score a 'single' point from Singapore GP all the way to Abu Dhabi GP while RBR score a 1-2 victory in the following races to the end you will see that RBR would actually overtake Mercedes at Brazilian GP by a margin of 33 points standing at 487 points compared to 454 points of Mercedes. It doesn't matter which driver wins from RBR team but as long as both drivers come home taking first two steps on the podium is all that matters for the constructors here. Also, keep this tally number '43' in the back of your head ( 25 + 18 ). At the finale, RBR win again, 1-2 victory, while Mercedes score nothing, the final scores would look like this where RBR are standing at 530 points compared to 454 points of Mercedes. A total difference or margin of 86 points between the two of them. So overall Mercedes 87 points at minimum to win the title; hence, the additional digit '1' above in the equation.
86 + 1 = 87.
Please correct me if I'm wrong here or at least come up with your homework if you don't mind.

Oops, hold on a minute ... I forgot about the extra 25 points at the finale. Will have to redo the calculations .....

Okay, so RBR would be at the top of the charts with 555 points while no changes to Mercedes team yet. So my guess is that Mercedes would need:
101 + 1 = 102 points
to win the title.

Again, my way of thinking is most likely wrong but I gave it a try. Let's see yours ...
I was asking since I didn't want to try the math lol. Let me think about it and I'll get back.
Also Luca out at Ferrari. Almost thinking it might be a step down before being fired after the dismal race Ferrari had at Monza and has been having all year. Wonder who steps in his place.

Looks like Luca is the last one of the great team that put Ferrari on the top for so many years.Never liked him personally, but with him leaving I have a feeling the hard times for Ferrari in F1 are just beginning. As we have seen on many occasions the money alone or the pur ewill to win are not enough to put you on the top,or to keep you there.Only time will tell.
On the subject of constructor's championship scores, has there ever been a season/year in the entire history of F1 where at least two teams ended up having exact same number of points towards the end of the season? What did the Fia do back then to crown of the constructors as the ultimate champion?
Most races won, I believe, decides it.
