    Oil Change In A Box?

    Hello--

I own a used 2007 BMW 328i with manual transmission. I'm about to put the 30-thousandth mile on it. I would like to get its oil changed, but would also like to minimize the possibility that Tater and Peanut over at Shade Tree Automotive will screw it up.
I live in a tiny apartment in Southern California. I CANNOT do this myself. There's no place to do it.
What I need is an "oil change in a box". I need all of whatever kind of oil is required, the correct oil filter, plus whatever tools are required to perform the change. I don't want Tater calling me up to say, "We ain't got no fancy German wrenches." All of this must come in one box.
Does anyone sell something like this? Google has not been my friend in this little matter.
I assume this is an E90 engine in the car I have. Auto parts websites are confusing, because they invariably ask, "Is it an E90 with THIS long string of following alpha-numeric characters? Or, THIS OTHER E90 with this other huge string of following alpha-numeric characters? " I have no idea, and no way of determining this. I just drive the car. I'm not a mechanic.
Anyway, I will be thankful if someone at this forum can tell me who'll sell me the box I need.

As far as a "kit" goes:

    http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-14...e-package.aspx

But you'll spend more money getting a "kit".

That will get you mostly what you need, aside from that... The filter is on top of the engine with a plastic screw off cap that one should be able to unscrew by hand. Replacing the O rings on the filter cap can be done with any blunt tool. The bolts are common 17mm drain bolts.
If you want to get the BMW jack pads they're $20 per corner (you need four). But you really don't need them.

Honestly, this all boils down to just finding a good shop. You'll need a shop you can trust anyway for future repairs you don't have room to do yourself.
I'm sure many people on here are from SoCal and can let you know.
I'm from the Bay Area, I do my own work... But we have a few good shops in my hometown of Santa Cruz. Nate Smith's BMW Svc & Repair and Catalpa.

Alternatively take it to your local bmw dealer and ask for a value oil change. Last time I checked it was $79. That is hard to beat.

Tischer sells an oil change kit.

If you insist on getting an oil filter tool, they also have that.

Drain plug is 17mm so any bozo with a metric tool set would be fine.
