    1993 e36 325is VS. 1987 Mitsubishi Starion TSI

So my roommate has been waiting to race me since I got the 325 and today I finally got plates so we left to get gas and then went for it on a nice long straight road. First pull I started behind him at under half a car length at 25mph. He started his pull so I began to pull too, I passed him and started walking him we chose to stop at who got to 80 first and I was there at the top of third winning by two car lengths. Second run I started behind him again giving him a full car length between us this time we honked for the pull from 25-80. We pulled and I was right next to him almost immediately and pulling to 80 winning by a car length. His car is a 2.6l turbo 4cyl with an exhaust. Mine is the stock 6cyl with slight weight reduction and exhaust.

Congratulations, you walked a 145hp car with your 190hp car.

I was wondering what kind of power they made stock, was feeling just a tad too lazy to go look it up though.

I have carburetors, and I'm not afraid to use them!

Life is about enjoying the engine you are sitting behind.

Disappointing about the horsepower number, I always thought those cars were really cool.

yea, good looking cars, but pretty pathetic for a turbo 2.6.

The Starion is a cool car. The late ones were intercooled to maybe 175 hp. And as I recall, they were lighter than the E36. You don't see many Starions today.

The 2.6 was an older SOHC motor. The newer DOHC 2.0 was an excellent motor. I did not know the last of the Starion got the 4G63.

Ass-end on the 2.0 steps out real easy. Scary easy actually. Got the wheelbase of a skateboard.

Loved those cars back in the day.
