CAN A USB '3G' dongle be attached to this unit for internet functionality?
cheers!
Not likely. A 3G dongle actually appears as a network adapter to the host. The host would typically need a driver installed to use the adapter. Most head units only expect to see USB mass storage or Ipod/Iphone as they provide built in drivers for that functionality.

OK - thanks! ...don't think this unit has a 'browser' with which to view the internet anyway?
cheers!
Hi,
A quick scan of the product specifications shows it's not 'internet' ready

If that's something you'd have liked, then units like the App Radio3 from Pioneer and the Parrot Asteroid Smart would've been items to shortlist. I have the Parrot Smart and I can confirm you can connect to the internet with it - I often create a wi-fi hotspot with my smartphone and the Asteroid Smart connects via Wi-Fi so I can surf the internet if required and also give the 'Waze' GPS application internet connectivity.
Cheers, Dennis!
