Hey all,
I recently bought the car listed in the title and had a few questions hoping someone here could answer for me. This car runs and drives beautifully. 164,000 miles and I paid 1,000 dollars for it, Bought it about 2 weeks ago!! And the double sunroof works!!
How can I improve the gas mileage on this car? Please don't give me driving tips. Is there any parts, specific to tuning up or not, that are good for the improvement of fuel consumption.
I believe this is an e34, Will changing the O2 Sensors help? How many O2 sensors does my car have?
Also what stores and websites have the least expensive parts for my car? Any tips on that would be a tremendous help!!
Any additional information would be great !
Thanks guys!!
Raymond
Number one question is: what is it getting right now? You really can't expect too much from a 3800 lb car powered by a 2.5 liter engine ... a lot has to happen to move that weight.
You can always do a regular tune-up ... plugs, filters, o2 sensor (has 1). Search for parts sources ... that gets covered about once a day around here.
normal mpg being?

I have carburetors, and I'm not afraid to use them!
There are always other fish (engines) in the sea (Craigslist)
Life is about enjoying the engine you are sitting behind.
id say maybe 16 city, 21 or sometimes more highway
well that sounds about right, like slocar said you can always do the regular tune up stuff, things like fuel filters never seem to get changed.
