Seat Belt Replacement
Can someone please help? My pour girls front seat belts in my '75 failed. The springs broke and want to fix or replace them. Does anyone know what better units are out there? Seems like lots of crappy aftermarkets ones.
I'd greatly appreciate any feed back!
Thanks,
Ed

You can get replacement REPA belts (the kind in later 02s) direct from BMW - they're still avail for our 02s. Though I suspect they're getting pricey.
You also can get REPA belts for older Audis (similar to BMW 2002 design) - but at much cheaper prices, also still available new from Audi. Audi Part#s: left front: 810 019 805A; right front: 810 019 806A; anchors: 810 019 831
Another source is Dtechnik - at a pretty nice price. http://www.dtechparts.com/front-seat...d-bmw-2002tii/
For the best available, try contacting Al (aka bluedevils) on the BMW 2002 FAQ board - he custom fabs 2002 seatbelts from the best stuff available.
Lastly, there's also the cheap knockoff stuff you can find on ebay.

Which year and model of Audi do the Audi seat belt part numbers cover?
Also, are they direct plug and play or are modifications required?
Thanks in advance for the info, Tom.
Regards, Maurice.

Maurice, sent you a pm. AFAIK, the same REPA seat belts on 73-on BMWs are used on classic Audis/Porsches of that period.
