    E36 vs E46 motor mounts

So I've been researching a topic for a couple days with no definitive answer yet, the question at hand is are the e46 / e36 motor mounts interchangeable? My oil pan is broken on my e46 and I figured I should change my motor mounts while I had the subframe down a bit, the reason I ask if they're interchangeable is because I will be doing an m52b28 engine swap into my e46 in a couple months and I didn't want to waste money on some nice AKG poly mounts if I wasn't going to be able to swap them over onto he m52. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, it's 3 am and I'm on my cellphone. Thanks in advance for any replies!

    Anyone know?

Well I couldn't find the current part number for the E46 motor mount on real-oem, it says it's been discontinued / ended. So I happened to look on ecstuning to see if the part numbers they posted for the e46 and e36 differ. Apperantly they are the same part number which is 22116779970. Can anyone verify that they are indeed the same part?

The aftermarket ones are always sold as e36/e46 so you should be just fine. I have the Vorshlag ones personally in my e36, just double checked and they are in fact meant for both chassis.

Perfect, now I can go ahead and order aftermarket upgrades and not worry about it!
