I was talking about failsafe on meth flow. I was wondering what you were doing.
I was thinking of alarming on high iat in lieu of getting a true failsafe added onto on my DO kit.
Anyone try this route? Is Zeitronix the only ones that have the alarm function available for iat?
capacitive sensor.

we know some fluids conduct varying levels of electricity depending on the fluid properties. a cap sensor is capable of measuring very small levels of conductivity. there is a pot on the sensor that you use to adjust the minimum conductivity that equals an "on" state. the sensor takes a+and - voltage and depending on which one you select it will give you back a + or a - that indicates the minimum measurement has been exceeded.
pick a sensor that runs on 12 to 24 volts
decide if the signal you need is a positive or negative
pick the sensor with the sensor voltage output you need
mount the sensor in the path of the meth
turn the pot until the light comes on only when meth is injected and not when just air
most of your touchscreens on phones and so on are a capacitive array. same sensor just arranged in a grid.
sure, also easy enough to do a standalone failsafe as well. I can sketch something up if you get some direction.
Two more steps forward:
I made the first exhaust section and waste gate tube tonight. Everything fit well. And yes, my welding is ugly as hell, but it's solid.
And I also finished the cold side charge piping:
These welds I can't take credit for, hahaha.
That intercooler mount will be painting black eventually.
At this point the majority of the hardware has been completed, and I'm focusing on electrical now.

Well guys, here's the latest update.
All the electrical work has been done. I've inhaled enough soldering fumes to realize that it's not a good idea. I probably will be firing the motor for the first time the next time I have some time to spend on it. Very anxious to see it come alive.
Few loose ends like my PCV setup and the rest of the exhaust work, and maybe a headlight or two, but I'm getting close!
My goal is to mistreat this thing all day long at the MIR track rental on Nov. 22. Will keep you guys posted.
You sir have poisoned my mind! I have an e39 right around the corner from me that I can pick up for a song! Soo tempted!
Awesome build btw can't wait to see the end results
