Not sure what I've got. Is an E30 M3 with an S88, which I presume is the E28 engine. It's an 86 Hartge. Some of the pictures of the H35 look like the base car was a 325, with an M30 engine. But the archival articles about it show an H35 that looks exactly the same. Red on black. The only difference was that the wheels are not 3 piece. 28k miles. Hartge decals are very faded. Did Hartge make an M3 with the M5 engine in 86?
I wish I could post pictures of it.
M88 is usa and s38 is euro. Post pics. Is it a real m3? What's the story on it?

I couldnt find the H35 on R3V.
Two years ago someone saw this car and started a thread in the E30 M3 forum. I resurrected the thread yesterday. The only comment to his description on that thread, is mine. Check out his description there. Its titled, supposed H35 - 24 in bklyn.
Hartge only built 6 H35-24 330hp e30 m3. All of the Hartge H35-24 m3 are in Europe. The one in NY is not a Hartge. It a has a USA m88 motor. The motor sits in position 1. Hartge H35-24 m3 sits in position 3 with ac, m5 radiator, mechanical fan, Hartge H35 steel motor mounts, Hartge 9 quart oil pan and a Hartge vin tag in red or blue next to wind shield resvoir. The suspension should be Hartge stamped on rear shocks. The brakes are custom by Hartge 12" rotors and calipers all 4. It should Have Hartge exhaust system. It will Have Hartge extended fuel tank and carpet cover in the trunk. It should Hartge front and rear badges with blue light blue. It will have a rear badge on the right side of trunk that says H35-24 with Hartge blue colors. It should have a Hartge mono wiper and delete cover on driver side. It should have a 280 klm cluster, Hartge steering wheel, Hartge shift knob, Hartge 3 row gauges and Hartge dead pedal. There are other Hartge items on the car to much to list. All Hartge cars are euro models. Hartge sold 6 for $110,000.
I have pics of my Hartge H35-24 clone. The Hartge parts for H35-24 are hard to find.

Wow. What a thing of beauty. So its probably a dealer conversion of an M3. So it should have Hartge calipers and a mono wiper?
The caliper and rotors will not have a Hartge logo or part number. The Hartge mono wiper will not have a part number. I doubt the BMW dealer did the swap on the US m88 motor. I seen this red e30 m3 on s14 forum. It is not Hartge. The only thing that is Hartge are the 16" wheels and the 1978-84 first gen chrome Hartge badges. Those Hartge chrome badges were never offered on a Hartge H35-24 e30 m3. The first Hartge H35-24 silver m3 was built in 1987. I have owned Hartge and Alpina cars and researched about them for 20 years. I am all ways searching for the hard to find Hartge rare parts.
