    Quick questions.

NOt sure if this is a good place to post or not?

I want to drop my exhaust from headers back.
There is a gasket there. Do I need to replace it?

The reason Im dropping is to look at CSB which I think Ill be replacing (and guibo) .

I actually am getting ready to order the parts...
I am wondering if I should get a gasket too?

My exhaust is remus if that matters. Im not sure its full or not. Its got some miles (how many IDK new owner)

Go ahead and order a new gasket to be prepared. The old one could break into pieces.
Life is like a car wash and I'm on a bicycle.

I really wanna drop the exhaust tomorrow and make sure the CSB and guibo are bad and inspect the driveline for play a little better before spend 300$ on parts.

the guuys at les schwab let me use their lift for lke 60 sec (just asked them to inspec the breaks and control arms.
I looked at everything I could really fast (missed the subframe area)
I was able to make the driveline move back and fourth a little bit (in a horizontal motion like driveline lash? NOrmal).
The movement was enough to make a nice clicking noise. I think that could be pushing my diff and making the "clunk" i here aka m-clunk. I can squeeze under my car in the rear and push up on the diff and create the thud sound as well.

The clunk sounds like diff bushings, not driveshaft.

If your Flex disc/CSB/u joints are going out you will get "rumble strip" vibrations. u-joint vibrations will be worst while under throttle and present at cruising speeds. If your CSB is torn I guarantee your ujoints are out (which causes the CSB failure) and you will be much better off replacing the driveshaft. I personally use driveshaft specialist out of San Antonio, TX. Replacing the CSB by itself will result in you doing the job twice, and living with the vibes in the meantime.

The flex disc should be able to be diagnosed by visual. If there are cords sticking out of it or excessive cracking, replace it. If not, it's likely fine.

    I do have a vibratios/rumble as well.
I feel it in the seat. It is mostly present in a bogged down state up to about 2k rpm. This is not present on the highway.
I think it could be from the UUC lightweight flywheel? I do know its got slight chatter but grabs most excellant
There is also a slight whine when coasting to a stop.

Also I don't think the csb is torn. My drive line will move horizontally from tranny to diff and that is it. I think it is like drive line lash and Probably normal at 165k. I also think replacing it before the u jonts fail would be good I mean if it causes the driveline to fail essentially how would I know if I should replace it or not?

What can anyone suggest for removal of the 3diff bushings once I have the diff on my bench? (I'll luse akg replacements)

Thanks again to everyone! this has been helpful.

When you are swapping out parts/ doing maintenance, it's a good bet to always get the gasket. If you are ordering parts anyway, what's another $5? If you don't use it, no big deal, but if you do need it, you have it, and it's not stopping your car from being used for the next week while you wait on parts.
