    Buying a used 135i

Hello 1 series folks, trying to move up from the e30 world! I just had a couple questions..

-How many of you got yours with navigation? Did you wish you had it if you didnt?
-Did many of use opt for a JB4 After purchasing? How do you like it?
-What kind of other cars have you raced and how did you stack up?
-Lastly, what do you guys think of this?

That is bit too much to pay for that car. I would look at a slightly newer one with CPO warranty from a BMW dealership. Extended warranties from third party company can be sketchy.

The JB4 is the single best modification you can get for the car in my opinion, the power difference is huge and instantly noticable. You might even want to opt for a size wider tire in the rear to put the power to the ground. Downpipes and a performance exhaust are also high on the list.

I've ran Subaru WRX STI's, 5.0 Mustangs, 370Z, and many boosted Hondas and a few Genesis Coupes and all of which have lost to me. Only loss so far has been an E46 M3 with a Supercharger kit installed by Dinan. 5.0L Mustang was a close race also.

Ah ok well 26k in Canada is actually pretty good. In the US car prices seem to be much lower by the looks of some posts on here. Post some pictures of the car if you end up buying it!

That's because the US and Canadian dollar are different lol.

Also I just bought my 2012 135I AW fully loaded with everything and red interior m sport u name it. I love the GPS! Really an ! inside a really great car and the IDrive makes it a real joy to drive. Payed 28k for mine before dealer tax and others with 56600 miles on mine US dollars. About 3 weeks later and no buyers remorse of yet.

Get a cobb accessport. So much easier to use than a jb4

Lol yeah i know why its different but it still sucks. And i would agree that Cobb is easier to use but JB4 gives better results. Funny enough i ran an N55 335i xDrive last night with Cobb, Downpipes and Exhaust with my N54 JB4 and Performance Exhaust and pulled him by 2 car lengths in multiple races. JB4 works very well and its much cheaper.

Hey amazing Jr, do you know anyone else in the GTA that has a 135i? I just bought mine in December and am looking for people to share experiences and tips on this amazing machine such as tunes and all that.

It's my first bimmer and I already feel like I want to meet other fellow owners.

    Don't JB it, OP.

Get a better tune than JB with their odd boost spikes, that honestly freak me out. I couldn't be paid to run JB if I had a 35i

i think the end plan would be RB's DP IC DCI and jb4. As iv read things are getting smoother with the jb. Hopefully by the time im purchasing the spikes will be ironed out. I get the feeling those spikes are caused by the factory lacking turbo's (6000rpm+) and the jb4 trying to overextend them. RB's

The JB is a piggyback system and will never be as smooth as a proper reprogram written to the ecu. It lies to the various sensors and tries to lie to them all an equal amount.
When the piggy back has to compute what to tell the computer and try to pass the plausibility test that the factory computer does on all inputs in relation to each other you are going to have a few rough edges at best.

Bonafide feel free to message me privately and we could meet up sometime for sure. I have a few friends with BMW's also so we cruise around together on occassion.

Also too , anyone talking about "boost spikes" or JB4 not running smoothly.... What are you talking about lmao i have never had any issue with my Jb4 in any sense. No such thing as "boost spikes" or anything of the sort. I know 4 other guys in my area with JB4 and nobody has an issue with it. Please don't say things like that unless you have first hand user experiance with the tune. Otherwise its just talking out your ass.
