I've recently been posted to a base/city where there is no Shell gas station so I must bid farewell to my VPower. My only options are from Irving, Esso or Petro Canada, wondering what you guys would suggest as a suitable substitute for Vpower.
Thanks in advance.
Whatever is closest and has 91 or 93.
I used to obsess over what I put in the car too ... but at 225k miles, it is not complaining whatever I put in it, and it still zings up to it's 7000 rpm chipped redline every single day.
Petro canada should have 94!
94 is overkill. Wont do any good for the engine, if anything will produce less power. Lots of misinformation on octane ratings out there... do some research if you arent sure
Use whatever has Premium which is 91+ anything over that isnt beneficial.

Esso carries 93 octane in the Southern Ontario, not sure for the Eastern Canada though.
In reality though, any 91 or better and you're good to go.

Thanks guys for the input. I did some research re: Top Tier and what not. Suffice to say in Nova Scotia both Esso and Petro premium gas does not contain ethanol which is a relief.
it all comes from the same hole in the ground, or tar sand or ocean floor. i wish i could find a diesel to swap into one of my cars and my truck so i could run it on bio diesel made from old deep fryer oil. i dont know the ins and outs but i know people have done/do it
