    Thank you for still having a manual when so many cars have going to just autos (yes I understand that the autos in high performance cars are usually faster). Very cool to go back to the I6 as well.

    It's interesting that it makes about the same horsepower as the outgoing V8, but the torque figure is considerably higher and the car is supposed to be about 200-300 lbs lighter as well.

    The new Roundel Mag implies that it's only lighter if the manual transmission is used.
    Just another reason to stick with a "stick".
    I guess that DCT is pretty hefty.

    The DCT unit is no doubt a hefty monster to be able to take the abuse of thousands of launches over it's lifetime.

    Haha the commercial is cool but the car is OK (only). Not to mention the girlie "baby blue" color which is rather hideous.

    The price should be 69k, then it would be near perfect. Supposedly they lost around 200 lbs from the previous generation. More aluminum, more Carbon Fiber.

    Thats what top gear said so thats a pretty reliable source depending on the relevance to tesla. Although BMW hasn't actually confirmed it and thats all that matters.

    And the price will be nowhere near $91k, that's M5 territory. Figure it will be closer to $65k. You can't just straight up convert from pounds to USD, the US always gets cars cheaper than the rest of the world.

    Probably looking at cars starting below $70k ... loaded near 85k.

    The coupe weighs in at just over 3300lbs... the sedan I think 3360lbs.

    Oh I see why people thought 91K - by converting pounds to USD.
    If you're wondering, the i3 (ugly bmw) will be sold in UK for £25,680 and in the US it will go for $41,350 which is about the exact conversion rate.

    Just beautiful. The only lacking aspect of the E90/92 was torque, looks like that's been addressed.

    It looks and, on paper, sounds like the best car they've ever made. I hope the steering feel has been addressed. If it had this may be the perfect sedan once again

    It certainly sounds promising. They have certainly addressed the biggest problem of the e90/92, the styling. The grill connected headlights look a lot better in person then in videos and pictures.

    Both cars look pretty good overall, I'm glad to see some old school color choices available. The only thing I really don't like is the e63/64 m6 looking wheels that never looked good on anything, too cheap looking IMO. That steering wheel looks awesome though!
