Looks great. What kind of muffler and tip. I have a csi customer that just bought new mufflers. 850 US each!
I just had to add resonators to mine. Terrible drone before. Much better now. Still a bit loud but tolerable (200cell cats, 16 inch resonator. Eisenmann race mufflers )
sounds great. 😀
Recently bought a 850 that has a stainless system fitted but I was surprised there's no X (or H) pipe in the system. What trouble can this cause?
Where are the "cats"?
Omega, you have a custom one?
Wokke, system sounds nice, but I actually dont hear that much.
Does it have a center resonator like the OEM system? If so this is the hidden X-pipe.
Or do you have two completely independent exhaust strings left and right?
In that case you are loosing some power.

You need some halfway decent speakers, not the crappy PC ones.
that sounds mean
Hi. Thanks for getting back to me guys. It's completely separate all the way down. I assume it's will help balance the negative pulses. If I get one added in where along its length should it go. Wolf, looking at yours it seems quite a way back compared to the one on my 2005 645ci which is fairly central.
Hi no drone particularly. Would it be ok to just have a horizontal "H pipe" welded in do the job or do I need to get it re-modelled to a proper X?
Ok thanks.
Wokke please explain why non linked exhaust would cause loss of power on what is effectively 2 x inline 6's. Apart from drone reduction I see no bennefit.
Great looking work Wolf. Impressive. Lots of design, jigging, bending, welding in that one. The X-pipe design is quite specific for the V8, particularly the hole diameter at the X, to realize the potential power increase. Not sure about the benefits available for the V12, but assume they would be similar. So a H pipe or no connection at all would give different / less results.

So is more that you not loosing power by having two separates. But rather you aren't gaining power by joining them?
:-) I can see the pulses of a v8 making use of an X section but I assumed (Maybe wrongly) that the V12 would not see a gain in power just a reduction in noise. It's a good excuse for another dyno run for sure. I can see that if a venturi effect is going to happen the design of the X itself is going to be crucial.
Other v12's like the Zonda and McLaren don't link the 2 sides.
Also these 2 into 1 collectors are very good, you can buy them from http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/...pover-ID-Inlet :-)imagesCA65M8RT.jpg

i have the two banks on seperate systems, PO did it. It has cored out cats, no resonator and raptor rear boxes. No drone, not to loud sounds ok with a bit of a raspy sound under load.
sounds great wokke.
Better is a relative term here.
I prefer my stainless steel systems for four main reasons:
1. saves a lot of weight
2. no corrosion issue
3. very easy to uninstall in case you need to for some other work (drive shaft access for example)
4. Last but not least the sound
In order to come up with a qualified guess why you have a drone I'd need to see what your system looks like.
Email me a picture (info@wokke.de) and I happily take a look at it and let you know what I think.
I'm running Magnaflow mufflers on my yellow 850 and have no drone issue at all.
